Loved the fact that there was a restaurant on the premises.
I would suggest that the have an intercom at the gate. We didn't realise we needed a code to get in, so when we got to the gate we tried to phone them, but there was no signal. Luckily we were able to find our email from them giving us a code to input on the gate. So I would somehow make it clear that a code is needed, but, even if you get one, the problem could be that your phone dies on you and then you're stuck at the gate.

This is the prefect stay over venue after a long days drive, The restaurant is extremely value for money and the views from the deck over the Orange river is exquisite.

A beautiful gem is how I will describe Waschbank River Lodge, with great personal interaction with all guests by the owner herself as well as her husband. Lovely views with great food and very friendly staff.
