Giancarlo is the most kind and helpful host you could ever find. He took a lot of time to tell us about local sights, restaurants and (perhaps most importantly ( the best chocolate shop in Modica. He was very accommodating when one of us had a cold and needed breakfast in our room.
The house has been in Giancarlo’s family for generations and had wonderful history. It is a real experience to stay in a place like this; far from the cookie-cutter hotels that could be anywhere. This is a real slice of Sicily!
The environs are very quiet, as are the rooms. The bed was comfortable and the aircon/heating worked perfectly. Parking is effortless outside the house and secure behind locked gates.
If you are expecting everything to be slick and pristine like a standard hotel, then this isn’t the place for you. But if you enjoy a warm welcome and characterful accommodation, this place is a great option.

Despite arriving before checkin time, we were greeted warmly by our host. He was always most pleasant and helpful even preparing and serving us a delicious dinner one night. The property is lovely and secluded but within a short drive to Modica. The onsite pool was spotless.
Internet could be a bit spotty at times.

We stayed here for three nights with our family and had a wonderful experience. The location is very peaceful and quiet, which made our stay especially relaxing.
The host was incredibly kind, caring, and helpful. He gave us many great recommendations about places to visit and things to do in the area, and we are very grateful for all his advice.
There is also a swimming pool on the property, which our children absolutely loved. The host prepared wonderful breakfasts for us every morning — everything was delicious and made us feel very well taken care of.
We truly felt at home during our stay. Thank you so much for your hospitality and for making our family holiday so special. We would happily stay here again!
The only minor downside was that the mobile signal was weak in some areas, although the Wi-Fi worked perfectly in the room.

It was wonderful to stay in an authentic family residence reflecting so much history. The host Giancarlo was extremely welcoming and attentive to ensuring a comfortable stay. His advice and information were very appreciated. The breakfasts were especially unique and fantastico!
Nothing really. The furnishings are traditional but comfortable. As neither of us are 6 feet plus, the small shower cubicle was not an issue.
