Probably most tourists visit Iga/Ueno for the historical associations with ninja and samurai. It must be noted that the location of this hotel is less than optimal if you are travelling by train or bus. However, if you have a car, no worries.
This is obviously a business hotel. Everything about it shouts that out loud. However, it is a decently-priced hotel for the tourist on a budget. Nothing about the hotel was bad. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was more than adequate. The standout points were the free (and delicious) coffee available in the foyer and the wonderful, helpful staff.
Iga City has a large number of things to see and do. If we had known beforehand just how much, we would have stayed two nights. This hotel would have been a cost-effective base for that.
