Amazing location, completely off the beaten track and really immersing you in nature (the long drive from the main road probably isn't everyone's cup of tea though). The owner and others were extremely friendly and welcoming. So were the crazy baby goats, the dogs and the cats. Surprisingly no mosquitos too.

If you're looking for creature comforts this isn't the place for you. The toilet and bathroom are shared and are rarely cleaned by the looks of things. The room and the double bed are both relatively small with few additional accessories and, again, those looking for a super clean environment should look elsewhere. Breakfast wasn't great, lots of deep fried items of dubious quality. I'd also question whether marketing this property as a farm is an appropriate term, from what we could tell it's really more like a small community who tend to a small number of horses and goats...!

People, nature, peaceful atmosphere in the deep countryside! Really, I wish to encounter more people like Muwmin-san and his family! Not typically Japanese but in a good way. I felt right at home, even with my limited Japanese skills 😌 What surprised me is how well prepared the amenities are, including the super comfortable bath each evening. A good rest after a day of walking to Mt.Yaedake for Sakura Blossom in late January. Highly recommend this stay for those that have a bit more time to enjoy the nature and what Okinawa has to offer. You won’t be disappointed!

Location - for me it was perfect but just to make sure others understand - this place is quite remote so it’s obviously not easy to come and go if you are without a car or good, strong legs. Ideal get-away from worries of the city ^^

I stayed for two days just alone, and one day with my family. Wonderful nature and some kinds of animals can be seen there. I'll go there to ride a horse next time!Thank you

Overall, was great. If what you are looking is a real okinawa experience, surrounded of animals, forest and nature, this is your place. The family is extremely nice, even if their English is reduced, they will try to help you a lot. They were very nice taking me to spend a whole day with them, also the were doing sometimes as guides showing me the area. The food they cook is very traditional and 100% homemade, the liquor awamori is a good marriage and the bath with an onsen style is very cool.

Maybe the food is a bit more expensive as I expect. Dinner cost ¥1500 and breakfast ¥800. Still worth it. Also the toilet is outside the house.

Firstly,..I have to thank Muumin San and his family for giving me the experience I was looking for during my stay in Japan. I don't really like mega cities and 4 days in Tokyo in November after a month in Myanmar I was missing the warm climate. I headed to Okinawa, looking for sun and sand, clear turquoise water to swim in. Unfortunately the weather in Okinawa was rainy and no good for beach days. However I saw Muumin farm listed in the rare category of "Farm Stay". I grew up around horses and many dogs and cats so I am no stranger to rural life. My first day I went for a walk on this sprawling large property and marvelled at the jungle rain forest and amazing views. I had one brave and curious cat follow me for quite awhile. I have travelled to many tropical areas all over the world and this farm is located in some of the most dense and diverse rainforest I have ever seen. It is a bit isolated but that is what I had hoped for. My first evening meal with the family was fabulous, as was every meal during my 6 days spent here. The cottage I stayed in is quite private and well equipped. I had no need to use the kitchen as I knew I would miss out on the wonderful food. The farm hands Mr Obato and Ms. Tasheka did their best to make me feel comfortable. I went on a horse ride with them and Muumin San's daughter Nanago during a rainy day. It was all very well organized and professional. We rode down the mountain to the beach in the village where each of the horses could roll in the sand. I was out of practice with my riding technique and unaccustomed to English saddles. My bum and calves were sore for two days later. The stop at the convenience store on horseback is not your typical thing,...very cool riding through Nanjikn Vilage. I enjoyed my stay here immensely and is for sure the highlight of my time in Japan. The 5 dogs and 8 cats all became my friends,....super nice. The gemme drum class with Mori and friends,....I will always remember.
