About this house rental
Situated in New Braunfels, this lovely house for $395 per night is a great option for your next break. 3/2.5 home. Sleeps 10. Master: King, Full. 2nd bedroom: 2 Twins. 3rd bedroom: 1 Twin Trundle and 1 Full. No Pets Allowed. MUST BE 25 TO RENT. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented at check in or via email. THE LAKE IS BACK, the damn has been repaired. Current pictures taken March 2020. New professional photos coming this spring! Beautiful newly remodeled 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath in a quiet residential home on Lake Dunlap (the dam broke in May 2019 so the lake is low but good news, the dam has been repaired and the lake is expected to fill up by Summer 2023, at which point the lake will be more conducive to swimming). Photos taken March of 2020 reflect the water level at that time. The dock is also a great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine or your morning coffee. There is also a canoe for your enjoyment! This home is only 5 miles to downtown New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn and the Comal River! Unwind in the comfortable living room with Free WIFI and Roku TV (no cable). Fully equipped kitchen with all the comforts of home. Dining table with seating for 6. There are 4 bar stools at the kitchen island. Half bathroom conveniently located off the kitchen. The master bedroom has a king bed, double bed and Roku TV and en suite bathroom with stand up shower. Upstairs there are 2 additional bedrooms and a lovely coffee nook station with a Keurig so you do not have to down stairs for that first cup! There is a balcony upstairs to have a glass or wine or your morning coffee and breathe in the fresh air while enjoying the lake views. The first bedroom has 2 twin beds and the other bedroom has a full bed and a twin trundle bed. Both bedrooms have a Roku TV. There is a guest bathroom with walk in shower conveniently located between the 2 guests bedrooms. This house sleeps 10 but you are welcome to bring an air mattress to accommodate 2 more guests. Never to exceed 12 guests total. This property has room for 3-4 vehicles. The back deck is the place to be with seating and a charcoal grill. The back yard leads to the dock, the back yard has a fire pit (firewood not provided) and is a great place for star gazing. Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. NO Smoking, NO parties. NO pets. No trailers, campers or RV's allowed. No portable grills or open flames. Family friendly home with no tolerance for bad behavior. This house has a maximum occupancy of 12 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home are monitored by video camera. This property includes accidental damage protection up to $1500. Decided to get out of town between Christmas and the New Year. Wanted to catch the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, do some shopping in San Marcos, and just relax to bring in the New Year. Down River Haus was the perfect location for my two sons and parents to enjoy all of the things I just mentioned without staying in the hustle and bustle of San Antonio. San Antonio was as easy 40min drive and San Marcos was a quick 20min drive from our stay. The house was decorated beautifully for Christams, the rooms were spacious and clean, the outdoor living area and dock were absolutely perfect for my family and our get away. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock, gathering around the fire pit, and BBQ for dinner on the back porch. Backyard had a wonderful ambiance as well when evening fell upon us. I would definitely come back again to enjoy all this house has to offer.

This property is so cute! We loved hanging out on the lake. They had plenty of things to keep us entertained. Love that the owners provided lots of water activities Ex: slip and slide, tubes, life jackets, canoe, and my kids LOVED the floating foam mat/lily pad. The kitchen is awesome! Lots of room for cooking. And we loved the giant walk in showers. Very nice property. Would love to visit again!

Great house. Clean. Great location. However, new beds are desperately needed. King in master was like a taco. No one in the house slept well due to the beds. At the price point this house is at I would expect at least 2/3 star level beds.

Hosted a team retreat at the property & we loved every second of it. It rained majority of the time we were there, but that is the season we are in! The views of the river were amazing, the communication with the host was perfect, timely and so accommodating. Lots and lots of beds in this property!

The home itself was beautiful. For the price we paid, wr we’re extremely disappointed in the maintenance put into the home. The stove was cracked and we could only use one side. That side did not work. The dishwasher did not wash. The coffee pot button was broken, the refrigerator did not keep any of of items cold enough. We had to freeeze things to protect them, Also, the railing around the deck were loose and leaning. They have a false sense of security, all of these things were a huge inconvenience for our large party. Very unsatisfied and paid a large amount for this rental that these items should have been replaced or repaired to working order.

Beautiful House!
We had a fantastic vacation with friends at this property! The house and linens were very clean and in good condition. Loved using the fire pit in the evenings and the access to the water was right there. The only thing I would have asked for were steps leading from the side of the lawn down to the concrete ramp (that slope was a little steep) and a small first aid kit to be available.

The experience at Down River Haus LD 727 was PHENOMENAL! It was just what we needed for our Girlz trip, unplugging and just being in the moment was priceless. The house had all basic necessities and it convenient to local stores for those last minute items or just to do all of your shopping when you get there! Highly recommend this home!

Super cute house in a great location
We rented this property for a girls trip weekend of shopping in New Braunfels. House was super cute and clean. It was nicely decorated. The fire pit is awesome at the end of the day! It was winter so we didn’t get in the river or use any of the water equipment. I would definitely stay here again. It is probably better for friends not couples since the rooms all have two beds in them.
