Our stay started out rather nerve wracking as we were only given a code for the room door but also needed one for a lock to even get into the building. unfortunately it was only possible to have contact via sms, which is why we got into the apartment almost 1 hour later with the help of a neighbor.. Unfortunately, the apartment itself was a bit run down, the kitchen was very dirty, the heating in the living room could not be turned off and it was not possible to use the shower head in the bathtub, which is why we had to bathe. All in all we cannot recommend the accommodation for this price.

The space itself is great. Exactly as pictured. Kinda shotgun three rooms on second floor. The color scheme is kinda cool grey and new. The stairs are a little rickety goin up but that was ok and the bed was large and comfortable. But it was the details where I got sad. It’s managed by a company called Viagem and they were great about getting right back to my many complaints and questions . No paper towels no trash bags the bathroom needed cleaning pretty bad. The toilet and the sink were clean but the shower and the floor and the bathroom mirror on the medicine cabinet were kinda gross. The place needed to be mopped and swept as the floor was sticky AND dusty. Neither remotes worked at first (they had to come in while we were gone and put batteries in one of them) we couldn’t get the only lamp in the living room (the room without a window) to work and there was no overhead light so it was a totally useless room: the coffee maker is missing a handle and a lid and is therefore it is very very dangerous. They also apparently never received my very first message about parking (as it says there is parking) but you have to ask. I did and never heard back. It was incredibly stressful after a long drive. So it’s the details that were the downfall with this experience. We stayed at the New Yorker hotel the last night in the city for the same money. Small room but luxurious and if you are there for Manahattan go that way. Hoboken is a treasure though. I liked that the place was on top of a corner shop.

When I checked in the apartment was not cleaned from the previous guest stay. It was impossible to speak with anyone, and it took forever for someone to reply to my messages after trying multiple numbers and then it took a long time to get confirmation if the apartment was going to be cleaned. Then in general is dirty with dust, towels dirty, etc... the shower is quite disgusting and is a reason why there are no pictures of it. Is also in a second floor with not elevator and narrow stairs. Neighbors are nice but they know a master combination (keypad) to enter the apartment which doesn't seems great about security, but again they were nice. Not a single frying pan. Very noisy in the bedroom due to traffic and night trash trucks. Furniture is old and not in a good shape. On the positive: there is good space for 1 person in this apartment, it has AC and when I booked was quite cheap.

Great location, nicely decorated and very clean. However, the shower had black mold on the shower grout and neither of the two televisions was in working order. I notified the manager and the tv issue was never corrected

My friends and I had an overall satisfactory stay. The agent that helped us was very nice and helpful however the only problem we had was the cleanliness of the apartment. There was dust everywhere and the dishes and cups were not clean. The power partially went out for a while as well but the staff was very friendly and eager to help
