If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 2. Dock details: Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

We were very excited to arrive at this beautiful location, however, the listing doesn't accurately describe this rental. Be aware that the windows don't close properly (or at all), there is a lot of noise during the night, properly critters. This unit is above someone and the neighbors are quite close. Very nice ferry driver! If you are into a glamping experience, it is worth it, but the price should reflect this.

The island was a lovely setting for our family to get away after months of dealing with serious illness. we really enjoyed our little cabin, the trails and the beach. In five minutes on the always available boat, one can be back on the mainland. When a large group ignored quiet hours with a very late night party, the owners were responsive and resolved the situation quickly. The accommodations are rustic, yet comfortable. We loved playing with our dog on the beach and heading up to Burlington for an afternoon.

This place is all about the location, there are several cottages to choose, some slightly nicer than others. We stayed in Willow which was great for proximity to beach and view of the water, but on the basic side, aka “Glamping”, but we will be back to try the others. Very nice family that owns and operates the island, super convenient to take the “ferry” across either way any time you want, safe parking for your vehicle, all the water toys you could ask for, nice beach chairs and umbrellas, and a couple big rafts to swim out to and hang out on. Better bbq grill would be nice. Overall we had a great time.

So glad I found this place

So glad I found this place

We had an incredible stay. Great vacation! Kids loved hanging out in the lake all day. The island was so incredible after going to Burlington one time we decided we rather just stay at the lake the rest of the trip so we loaded up with groceries and began relaxing. Lots of water activity options, amazing views, great hiking, canoeing and everyone is so friendly. Will definitely do again.

Garden Island is a beautiful spot for a family getaway. The island is secluded yet easily accessible, and the availability of canoes, kayaks, and paddleboard makes it even easier to enjoy the area. The staff and other guests were all friendly and helpful, it feels like a community, and even the dogs were all well behaved. The Willow apartment was not very clean and is pretty run down, but it is comfortable enough to provide a home base and launching point to enjoy the island and region. We got inadequate info for check in, but that was easy enough to overcome. I highly recommend Garden island and would definitely go back.
