Good

It was fine for what i needed. A nice big room clean and easy access to where I wanted to go. Had a fridge and some free water which was nice

I want a complete refund as it was dirty & a disgusting place to spend the night.

NOTHING - it was disgusting & an awful experience,

I booked a King Suite but the room was NOT as described. The photo is laughable - I wonder where they got it!! They upgraded us to a room which they had not finished building! There were wires sticking out the wall. No internet, no tables/cabinets, no beside beside lights - just a main light with a bare bulb. There was an old closet, no drawers, no full mirror, just one small one propped against the wall on top of the toilet in the bathroom. Also the floor in the shower was uneven and wobbly- I could have slipped badly. There was no breakfast! There were sachets of coffee but the long life milk was off! The entrance was up one flight of stone steps & along an alley with dustbins before climbing another steep flight of stone steps. The main hotel door was shabby with peeling paint & there was a combination lock. Once inside the paint was again peeling off the walls. The rooms were up another flight of stairs- with our luggage & no lift. There was no reception, no staff, no person to greet us just a guy on a telephone! It was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in & no hotel car park. All the posted reviews were made on the same day & are phony. It was an awful experience. Our stay was on June 3rd 2023 for one night. This was just an old building - it should not be available to the public. Unfortunately, we couldn't find another hotel in the time.

10 mins into town which was handy , but lack of sleep means I wouldn’t stay again .

it was warm

The room needs some tlc. Bathroom tiles around shower are broken and toilet cistern drips continuously . It’s extremely noisy due to traffic and people walking home and shouting . maybe I should have researched it better as I didn’t realise it was on a busy island , but that’s my fault . Parking is a few mins walk but it’s on a big public car park

One of the best hotels ive been to with a mini apartment theme.

- Room was like a mini apartment set up. - any problems the hotel manager was a phone call away. - didn't need to deal with no one once i had arrived, just a key code access to both the hotel and room with a secure feeling. - rooms very large with everything you need for a longer stay if needed. - easy parking and directly in town. - i travel for a living and this hotel was overall one of the best i have stayed, very hidden location with a easy access plus i didn't hear or see anyone within the hotel.

The hotel is in the centre of town and next door to Colcher town railway station. Room 1 was spacious, clean and well maintained.

I was sent an email warning of road noise and it was noisy. Double glazing of the windows would be a good investment.

Large sized modern room in a perfect town centre location

Brilliant large sized room, lovely modern bathroom and nice amenities. This hotel is in the PERFECT location for town centre access, right next to the town train station and shops and clubs. The door code system is so useful as you don’t need to remember to bring a key card each time. Swift and easy contactless check in. Will certainly be staying again.

Good location if you’re out in town, but not setup for a restful night’s sleep

Good central location, clean, big and spacious room, complimentary tea coffee and water, iron, microwave, fridge. Hassle free entry and exit.

Bed mattress was really bad in our opinion (room 2), far too soft, old and uncomfortable. No air con, uncomfortably hot on our date of stay. Internet based TV didn’t work properly, kept buffering. Noise from other guests arriving back from clubs 3am-4am. Single glazed sash windows means there’s also noise from street but the hotel do communicate this when booking to allow you to factor it into your decision making, street noise wasn’t too bad. Felt overpriced for what it was.

Excellent location and comfortable

I booked the Superior King room - this was huge and had a fridge which is very useful for storing food and drinks. There was a very good fan which was great as it was a hot day. Excellent hotel location near to town centre. Cyril the manager was extremely helpful sorting out a slight issue I had on arrival. Great shower too.

I did find the sound of the traffic outside to be quite loud, however the hotel do make you aware of this when booking as they are located on a busy street. The rooms at the back would be much quieter.

Central location not far from town, Spacious bedroom, hot shower, cooling fan, comfy bed, very good staff who were very polite and accommodating. Personally called me to ask me how the stay was. Highly recommend

By a busy road so can be quite noisy, location confused me at first but staff were very helpful and was easy to find.

Perfect, clean and comfortable so nice and comfy we didn’t even go out, we got a Chinese from downstairs, we had an amazing time, Child free time! Thank you once again :)

it was very central right next to Colchester town station and a short walk from the town centre. the room was spacious and well equipped. parking was paid for in advance and we had very good instructions on how to find and access the room.

we only stayed one night and £120 was a bit steep but if we had stayed longer maybe a lower rate could have been possible.

It stunk off shake and vac breathing it all couldn’t sleep Terrible noise coming from fan just opening toilet door which stayed on far to long and totally unnecessary. The television you had to sign up with the bbc just to watch a bit of news The entrance and hall way the smell overpowered you Toilet window fell inwards as it was opened dangerous

Very good

The room was very spacious and clean. Very close to city center with bus stops 5 min away.

The room got very cold in the evening and we couldn't turn the heating on.

More like a halfway house than a hotel

New looking bathroom. Attentive staff (by phone, did not meet anyone in person).

Mattress like a box of springs with no mattress cover, just a sheet on top. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, filthy windows with no double glazing. Whole building was smelly. Shower was a drizzle - I could barely wash my hair. We paid £130 pounds to stay in conditions worse than a hostel.
