Comfy bed, amazing food (we had both breakfast and dinner), helpful staff, great location accessible by bus. Having a natural onsen onsite was a big plus!
A bit pricey, but the most affordable of all the options in the area.

The owner (who speaks enough English) is a wonderful cook, so be sure to order breakfast and dinner (which are reasonably priced). Staying here is more like a family stay than a ryokan.
The onsen was lukewarm at night (hot in the morning) in a not very attractive setting. The toilets are not modern. There is a dog who barks a few times a day and a small boy who likes to bang on his drums during breakfast and around dinner time.
