This is a great location if you want quiet and solitude during your stay in Puerto Viejo. It's located just about 200M up a little-used side road off the main highway. You can walk to Playa Negra in about 2 minutes or into town in about 15 minutes along the beach or using the safe sidewalk. There are only a small number of units, so it's not busy at all. In fact, I only occasionally even glimpsed anyone else while I was there. The most noise I ever dealt with was sounds of howler monkeys in the morning a few times, which is why you come to Costa Rica in the first place, right?
The unit itself was great. It's basically an apartment. It had a small kitchen that was stocked with the utensils and pans needed to make breakfast. There is a small sitting area next to the kitchen, as well as a comfortable couch on the front porch. The bedroom had a comfortable double bed and the bathroom was clean. There is a window AC unit and a ceiling that kept it cool and comfortable even when the heat and humidity outside were oppressive.
The incredibly helpful and gracious property manager, Lucia, was accommodating and very responsive. She answered any questions very quickly and kept it clean with a mid-week cleaning. She also will do a load of laundry for a very reasonable price, so you can pack a little lighter even if it's a longer stay.
I was traveling solo, so it was plenty of room for me. I think it would work well for a couple, too, but it would be a little cozy.
Overall, it far exceeded my expectations for the price.

צ׳ק אין וצ׳ק אאוט עצמאית נגישים. מרחק של דקות ספורות מהחוף השחור בהליכה. אזור שקט שמרגיש בטוח.
שימו לב יש מספר דירות במתחם והן אינן זהות!
המטבח בדירה מאובזר באופן מינימאלי ביותר, אין אפילו מצרכים בסיסיים כמו מלח וסוכר- כששאלנו את האחראית לגבי זה היא אמרה שהמקום לא מספק. כשהגענו הסמרטוט והסקוצ׳ לניקוי הכלים לא הוחלפו והסקוצ׳ היה במצב גרוע מאוד. בתוך סבון הכלים (מעין משחה) היו לכלוכים שנשארו כנראה מדיירים קודמים.
המצעים במיטה היו מבד סינטטי ולא נעים ובמהלך השינה ירדו מהמזרן מספר פעמים, מה שהפריע לשינה רציפה.
מיקום הדירה הוא בסדר אם יש לכם רכב או כלי תחבורה זמין אחר, משום שהאזור בו היא ממקומות הוא הפחות מעניין ברצועת החוף והיא רחוקה יחסית מהאזור התיירותי.
להוסיף טלוויזיה ואביזרים במטבח היה משפר משמעותית את החוויה.
