The property is located in the heart of downtown Hiawassee, and within easy access to shops and restaurants. Not to mention a quick walk to Dairy Queen for a an ice cream! You will fall in love with both the indoor and outdoor space of this property. The house is meticulously maintained, beautifully decorated and very clean! The main floor includes the master bedroom and an open family room, dinning room and kitchen area. You can access the covered back porch to enjoy your cocktail or coffee on our large porch swing, and gas fire pit as you overlook the lake and large grassy back yard. A perfect spot to throw the football or play a game of corn hole. The large wood burning stone fire pit is ready for a night of family gatherings and s'mores! Downstairs you will find a large great room perfect for movies and hanging out, 2 bedrooms and fun bunk nook.

Beautiful location and home. Very convenient to town. Great for a family with kids. We had all adults, so the top bunk proved very interesting for a 60 year old female! House was very comfortable. May want to consider a few blankets for the colder nights. It was in the 30s one or two nights while we were there. Would love to see the lake around the house during the summer. All in all, enjoyed our visit. Thank you!

Absolutely loved this home! Beautiful lake view from the entire back of the house. Loved the floor plan and open concept, numerous beds, two full decks outside and numerous places to gather as a group, as there was a large living room, dining room and den downstairs, along with the huge back yard and fire pit right next to the lake. We all had a very relaxing and enjoyable long weekend. Having the boat dock was so convenient for the boat as well. Host was fast with responding and easily accessible. We will definitely be back!

We had a quality weekend getaway with our friends. The location is quiet and very close to local stores and a boat rental marina. Will definitely keep this in mind for future visits. Only thing we were surprised by was that the amenities listed a grill but it was as part of the Inside features so I assume it meant the stove top or it was in reference to the grip grate that can be put over the fire pit.

Very nice, but our big issue was the internet only worked 1/2 of the time. We called right was to our host and there was nothing she could do. This was VERY disappointing.

The property is in a great location—quiet but nearby many restaurants (local spots and chains). Lots of room to gather with friends or family. A group of 10 of us gathered there to celebrate NYE. Check-in and parking are easy. The lake was very dried up when we visited, but aside from that, the view was peaceful and the patio is a nice addition. Would recommend!

This is the third time we have stayed at this property. The first 2 were great. This time the unit was poorly cleaned, the downstairs shower drain was clogged and the fans on the porch did not work. Seems like it has gone downhill since our last stay, which is too bad, as it has been one of our favorites

Lots of space for 4 generations to get together. Plenty of options to socialize or have quiet time. Especially enjoyed gathering on the porch to look at the lake, play games and snack. The under 80 crowd also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards.

The home was clean, well organized and offered everything we wanted. The views are spectacular. Our host was most gracious and attentive. It rained a few days, but a long summer rain with the clouds surrounding the mountains made it even more special. We love the area and plan to come back!

Loved the rental. Very clean with updated decor and furnishings. Stocked well with puzzles & books. Access to kayaks, paddleboards, and boat slip made our trip a delight. Will definitely keep in mind to visit again on our yearly vacation to Lake Chatuge.

The place was very clean, which was important to us. We felt very comfortable inside the home. The numerous bed options was great. We were surprised by the extra guest fee since there were 8 of us but the place had beds for 11-12 people. We were disappointed by the view of the very busy road and needed to make sure we were always facing the mountains instead. We were disappointed by the lack of a private dock. This was obviously not promised in the listing. However, the pictures are from above the dock, so there’s nothing to indicate that this was a dock that holds 20 or so boats and therefore not a good place to rent if planning to use it as a swimming area for children. Lastly, we never received the welcome packet or door code until we reached out when we were 2 hours out from arrival.

We had an amazing stay at this property. Everything we could possibly need was in the home. The owner was very responsive with any questions. The town is very easy to get around with all the needed supplies close by. Beautiful lake and the home made it easy to enjoy.

We loved our stay at your home! Our favorite place was the large covered porch! The view of the lake and the mountains was so pretty! The home was very neat and clean! Loved the main level master bedroom and bath! It was also nice to have the kayaks and floats for easy access and use! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Beautiful lake view! We totally enjoyed the extra touches of this home - boat dock, kayaks, fire pit, and gas firepit on porch. We spent most of our weekend on the porch soaking in the view of water and mountains. Totally serene! The home is finished out nicely, clean, and we’ll-maintained. It’s also in a lovely neighborhood. Truly makes you feel at home! The bedroom layout was adequate (for 4 ladies), but there’s only 2 full baths. One is the owner’s suite bath and the other bath is for the two downstairs bedrooms and bonus area to share. It worked for us, but if you had a large group it may not. There is a powder room in living area, which was came in handy! The view is beautiful! You can see and hear some road traffic, but it wasn’t too bad. We totally enjoyed our weekend and would book this beautiful home again!

Our family (8 people), thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nantahala Bay home. There was plenty of room for all of us. Well apportioned and very clean. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. 5 stars!!! We will definitely visit again.

We loved the house and all the fun extras that came with the rental! The porch swing was a favorite and the location was very peaceful with low boat traffic. Great getaway!
