About this house rental
Nestled in Smiths Beach, this charming house for $168 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. This beautiful, spacious and comfortable four bedroom home is an easy walk to popular Smiths Beach and a short drive to Cowes and Phillip Island's attractions. Surrounded by lush gardens in a fully enclosed yard, the house has a well furnished deck with BBQ and hot tub, while the lawn area includes a cubby house and plenty of space for kids to play. Inside, the house has a master mezzanine bedroom with a king bed and full bathroom upstairs, and three ground level bedrooms (two queen beds and one double bed) and a central full bathroom. The house also has a portable cot as well as a high chair. Please note that the configuration of the stairs makes it difficult to gate them off, so please consider this if you are travelling with very small children. The kitchen is fully equipped to make cooking a breeze (including stove, induction cooktop, large refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster and kettle), with plenty of indoor and outdoor plates, glasses and cutlery to cater for any size group. The lounge room includes large plush lounges and a smart TV, alongside a bright and comfortable sitting area to unwind at the end of the day. The house also includes a washer and dryer, plus a clothes horse, iron and ironing board. A split system provides heating and cooling in the main lounge area. Fans are provided in each bedroom for use in summer, and several space heaters are available for use in winter. We also supply several throw rugs, as winter nights can be very chilly on Phillip Island! There is also a wood burning fireplace for supplemental heating and ambience. (We do our best to ensure some wood and kindling is available for your stay, but we cannot keep it stocked well enough to be used as a main heat source). We are always available to help with any questions you may have when planning your trip and we can be easily reached during your stay to provide assistance, if needed. Bed linen and towels are included in the base rate, which covers the first four guests. Additional guests incur an extra nightly fee to cover additional linen costs. The cleaning costs include a full clean of the house following your stay, but we do ask guests to complete a few basic tasks - please refer to the house rules.

This is the kind of holiday house that you are happy to spend time in - so much natural light and cosy interior. The beach is an easy walk away.
The owner was very quick to respond to queries even when they were on their own holiday.
We would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely few days, was lovely to stay in a home with some uniqueness thrown in with beautiful views from upstairs bedroom. Main disappointment was the entrance & yard needed major sweep & clean up / sticks, leaves & gum nuts ready to be tripped on. Also, many of the bedrooms needed a good dust, with visible dust For the amount paid & extra for “cleaning “ & “additional fees” & “service fees” it felt like a bit of a slap in face - not having the property up to the sort of standard it should be for this price - sorry but was disappointed in this regard.
Outside furniture was not covered, cover was in crunched up state in corner of deck along with other items & covered in debris.
Also outside spa was not usable, with undisolved chlorine around inside edges of spa - chlorine & other chemicals kept in food pantry left bad smell every time we opened cupboard - had to move our food to benches.
Upstairs lamp held together with sticky tape & upstairs balcony needs repair could be a concern for small children - with balcony boards loose - sorry again, but I feel this needs to be brought to your attention.
It is a beautiful home, but is needing some love & attention - don’t feel we as paying guests were given respect or priority. We paid & we got what we got.
Sorry again I don’t know if the owners are aware of these problems or if they are paying people to do a job & it’s not getting done properly.

I can not and will not fault this holiday home or the propertie owners for their attention to detail and excellence in our stay . I’m beyond grateful for the experience and 3 day stay at this house. This was a long awaited getaway for my family and we were beyond comfortable and relaxed with our surroundings and amenities. This was a ten out of ten booking and we will no doubt be booking again.

A great house in a nice beachside neighbourhood. We had 6 adults an almost 2 year old and a small pup. The house was perfect with a range of bedrooms and beds. It had great amenities (well stocked) and highlights were the wood fire and outdoor hot tub! We visited in winter but were very comfortable. The 2 bathrooms were essential for us and they and the kitchen have been renovated to current modern standards. The decks can be a bit slippery after rain so take care. Overall- good value for money in this location. Easy walk to surf beach. Host was very responsive and friendly! Would recommend to anyone wanting a large home on Phillip Island.

Thank you to Vanessa for our lovely weekend stay. The location of the property could not be better, not to mention the sea views from the lovely upstairs loft master bedroom. The house is beautifully set up with generous kitchen, dining and living spaces all with modern features, while managing to feel cozy. It was perfectly clean with every amenity one could wish for. My husband and I have already said we'd like to stay again.

The house was clean and well stocked for cooking and entertaining with our group.
The upstairs was a stunning room to wake up in. We used it for wedding photos it was that gorgeous.
The house has lots of big windows to let in lots of natural light.
The hosts were helpful if we had questions and the backyard was something to rave about. A beuatiful oais with lots of kid freindyly activities- our personal fav was the paper and pencils/paint in the cubby house for the kids to play with my daughter was over the moon.
My 3yo daughter still talks about the brown house and when an we go live there? :) We will be back.

Wonderful holiday home perfect in everyway .so handy being able to walk to the beach and the hot tub out the back was wonderful .house is spacious,bright and very clean . Highly recommend .
Just something to be aware of is small dogs can get under the house via the decking and get to the front yard via the steps to the front door . And then escape .This is easily fixed by making sure front gates are closed .

We had three generations stay for 3 nights. This place is so well equiped both in the kitchen , laundry and activities. The beds were very comfortable and the range of different seating areas helped us feel spacious. The cubby house was a big hit and the distance to the water very manageable. Big thank you for all your assistance.

Lovely nice clean house, all amenities and provisions thought of for your stay. Very comfortable beds. Great communication from owner with very clear instructions on how everything works. Easy check in process. Was very cold on the island but we enjoyed using the spa. Lovely garden makes you feel like you are in a very secluded location.

From the initial booking to the final check out, our stay could not have been better.
Nothing was too much trouble for Vanessa, and she really looked after us and made our honeymoon stay one to remember. From a welcoming bottle of bubbly and chocolates to organising gas for the jacuzzi spa on the same day within only a few hours.
The house is perfect - everything has been thought of and provided. We loved being able to cook our own meals and enjoyed the luxury of the jacuzzi spa.
And to be so close to the beach was the final perfect piece to our heavenly honeymoon.
We will most definitely be back to stay here again and again!

Master bedroom upstairs is very comfortable with nice views, one of the best sleeps in many holiday houses we've been too. The property manager was super quick in responding to our queries. Pet friendly which was one of the musts for us to bring our little dog with us. We didn't get to use the outdoor spa as it was a bit chilly, but it's a great option if spending more time in slightly warmer weather. Overall a very pleasant stay and I'm hoping we can stay again at Smiths Beach in the future.

Absolutely LOVED staying at this property. Lovely street, gorgeous house (especially loved the very well appointed kitchen), walking distance to a great coffee/brekky place and the beach. Short drive to Cowes where there are plenty of places to eat for some variety. The kids adored the cubby and fun playroom. Vanessa was a great host! Coming back for sure!
