Tucked away in a green vale sits Blue Moon Log Cabin. It looks like a scene out of a fairy tale; mature trees adorn the 110-year-old cabin's landscape, setting the mood for the getaway you imagined. As you step inside the log cabin, rich wood surrounds you. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee from the cabin's coffee bar or a glass of wine from a nearby winery while enjoying the porch swing, letting the day drift away. As the sun sets, we invite you to step onto your private deck, gaze at the stars, and hopefully catch a glimpse of that elusive Blue Moon.
Blue Moon Log Cabin is just five miles from downtown Nashville, right outside Helmsburg. In addition to the king bed, Blue Moon Log Cabin also features a sleeper sofa.

Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.
These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!
PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.
ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeepers' tax from 5% to 8%.

The cabin was absolutely adorable! Could not have ask for a better host. They thought of everything you literally need to bring nothing with you.We were so comfortable and relaxed. Thank you for everything!! You guys are amazing!

Amazing place. Some electrical issues were noticed when plugging in items and lights would go out in other rooms. Overall great place.

The cabin itself was LOVELY-decorated w/antiques, stocked with everything for a comfortable stay. It was clean, cool (in June) & the king size bed was amazing.But if you are a shortish person (under 5 foot 4), you should bring a stool to get into the hot tub (there is no step for it) and use that stool to get into the giant vintage claw foot bathtub. The downside is the outside amenities. We booked this cabin because the listing said it had a private back deck with hot tub perfect for star gazing. I believe the listing even said it was serene. We had hoped to take advantage of that and also we wanted to use the fire pit to relax & make smores. We booked the cabin for a romantic remote getaway for our anniversary.Unfortunately we were unable to use the back deck much because of all the noise & annoying neighbors. Also the lack of privacy when using the hot tub. There is a paved ATV path 25 feet off the back deck! Loud ATVs go up& down there even late at night roaring by with their headlights on. Golf carts with nosy people go slowly by watching you on the deck. There are curtains on the deck but they don't close fully so people can still see you in the hot tub - especially the neighbors whose property backs up to the ATV trail. That neighbor began weed whacking one afternoon right at the fence as we were wanting to have lunch on the deck. He also has 2 large outdoor dogs who stand at the fence looking at you & barking incessantly. NOT remote OR serene! Disappointing.
