Situated in Highlands, this charming house for $351 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Little House In The Woods This is a pet friendly home for one small dog, under 20 pounds. Pets must be pre-approved. An additional non-refundable pet fee is required and is not included in the rental fee. Please call our office for approval and to pay the pet fee. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in a $500.00 fine. Only adults (25 years old and older) may reserve this property and an adult must occupy the property at all times. Satellite Internet - Please note that this house has a limited data plan so streaming will use up the available data very quickly. Data is only renewable on a monthly basis and throttling will occur once the data has been used. Please limit streaming to 3 to 4 hours a day and schedule any downloads/updates between the hours of 2:00 - 8:00 am. Gaming will use up all of the data very quickly so please do not use the internet for online gaming. This gorgeous home has been lovingly renovated with a modern farmhouse style that is as inviting and comfortable as it is stylish and beautiful. A stunning use of white, gray and natural wood is both classic and current and so, so relaxing. The bright white kitchen is a chef’s dream with new appliances, a large farm sink and massive center island. A few barstools invite your family and friends to join in the fun while making cookies or enjoying a cocktail while making dinner. Plenty of seating in the living room surrounding the wood burning fireplace makes for a cozy and comfortable place to entertain, relax and unwind or just gaze into the fire. A second seating and dining area offer even more cozy seating and a great place for the family to gather to play games and work on that jigsaw puzzle you’ve been meaning to get to. One King bedroom and one Queen bedroom with adjoining bathrooms decked out in white tile and natural pine ceilings create the perfect respite after a busy day hiking or shopping. No detail was overlooked when designing spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful. The kids will love the third bedroom with twin beds and it’s own en suite. The beautiful deck with it’s classic Adirondack chairs is where you’ll want to spend mornings with coffee or evenings with your favorite beverage. Quiet solitude surrounds you in this lovely wooded setting. Just a couple of miles from town, you get the best of both worlds in this little gem of a house. What our guests are saying… "PERFECT! Would go here instead of pricey hotel in town." - Anonymous Cancellation Policy Policy (A) for reservations less than 20 days: A reservation canceled between 0-45 days prior to arrival is not eligible to receive a refund. If more than 45 days notice is given, the renter shall receive a refund of all payments made, less a cancellation fee of 10% of the Total Cost of the Reservation. Policy (B) for reservations of 20 days or more and reservations made 6 months in advance: NO refund is given unless the property is re-rented under the same terms. We had an excellent stay at Little House in the Woods. The property is just as advertised and was very clean and well provided for in terms of essentials that you may need while there. The location is very convenient and only a short (~5 mins or so) drive to downtown Highlands which made going back and forth very efficient. We would highly recommend the property for those looking for a great accommodation for a trip to the area.

Great location! Well decorated with all amenities! Kitchen was well stocked. Whole house was comfortable and cozy! Owners have great taste! Our family had a fun and memorable Highlands experience. We would stay here again if the property was available.

The house was very clean, nicely decorated, and in a great location. It is located close to town and also close to a ton of waterfalls and trails. There is a semi-private upstairs that allows for a retreat and/or nanny to have privacy during off hours. As noted in the description, the internet is not very strong - so if you are needing to work, the local library is a good option! Also - beware of bears! Luckily we were inside when this happened, but a huge bear pushed over the trash can and left bite marks and claw marks on the can at 4:00 PM shortly after we put the trash out.

We booked for a wedding and days before we arrived a foot and a half of snow dumped in Highlands. Alicen went above a beyond to assist us with getting to the house and worked on finding us alternate accommodations when threat of additional snow made us staying in the house impossible. We will definitely be renting this house again and will book through Alicen for future trips to the Highlands!!!

This property was perfect for me, my mom and two kids. The place was immaculate and well equipped for our family. It is close to everything while far enough where it is extremely private. The outdoor porch area was great for reading in the afternoon and hanging out. Loved it and will return if / when we're back in Highlands...

Great house. It has everything a family needs to enjoy a getaway vacation in Highlands. We love it! The kitchen is modern and has all the appliances you need to make the best time at breakfast time or dinner. Great fire place. We love it!

We loved our stay here. The doorknob in guest bathroom fell off and the doorknob in master bedroom fell off as well. We also wished we didn’t have to put towels in dryer bc it delayed our departure. (Given that there is a 10:00 check out time) It was highly efficient and informative. Couldn’t have been easier.
