Nestled in New Braunfels, this lovely house for $267 per night is a great option for your next break. Get away for the any season! Herry Haus is a terrific setting for your next vacation or get together! A charming bungalow built in 1927 by the sons of an original German settler and town contractor, Christian Herry. The Herry Haus is a cozy, warm, brick home that welcomes all who appreciate simplicity! Enjoy the nostalgia of front porch fellowship, the amazement of watching the timeless train, backyard fun or a peaceful morning/evening stroll downtown! The Haus offers most modern day amenities to host a small family gathering, a flexcation work and study space, a friend's weekend getaway or a holiday celebration! The home is equipped with Wifi/Internet and is complimented with several work/study spaces inside and outside to accommodate multiple users. The dining room provides versatile dining up to 6 people along with the breakfast nook in the kitchen and when needed a drop leaf table for an additional 4 people the living room. The kitchen is equipped with all needed appliances and most commonly used cookware, serveware and dinnerware. Full dinnerware placesettings are available for both casual and a formal affairs. Highlight for the breakfast nook in addition to being a great work space is the coffee bar, equipped with coffee, tea and a coffee maker that can brew a kraft or provide individual servings! The two bedrooms offer comfy new beds with fresh linens provided along with vintage dressers and ample space to stash your travel gear. The main bedroom has a King bed and the second bedroom a Queen. If needed, a twin EZ air bed is available. The quaint living room is ready to host with adequate seating and comes with a full size sleeper sofa for additional sleeping accommodations. The bath provides a large claw foot tub and shower to relax at the end of the day in a soaking bath that promises to stop time! Linens provided. Entertainment is a win at the Herry Haus whether you decide to stay in or get out! At the Haus, you can enjoy a good ole fashion board game or watch movies! The home provides cable TV and free internet wifi access for any devices you bring! Hop outside under the tall pecan trees with a backyard BBQ and game of washers or simply swing on the front porch, nap or read a book! Road trip in any direction! Take off to the Hill Country where it offers all types of fun from the Natural Bridge Caverns, to beautiful state parks and wineries! Or consider a 15 minute trip to the San Marcus shopping malls or even goin South to see the Alamo and San Antonio River walk! Locally, Herry Haus is conveniently five blocks from downtown where you can dine at any of the eclectic restaurants or pubs while catching some live music afterwards! Downtown offers many attractions with antique stores, ladies boutiques, home furnishing mercantile, bakeries, a farmers market on Saturdays and churches on Sunday! Historic Gruene, Tx is only 12 minute away to enjoy boutique and antique shopping, a variety of the fine restaurants and ,of course, music at the Oldest Dance Hall in Texas, Gruene Hall! Fresh air and exercise? Hit the trails on foot or grab your bike! Take a walk along the wooded Dry Comal Creek trial to Landa Park then head for an excursion through Panther Canyon where you can see the heads waters of the Comal River bubble up from the Edwards Aquifer, a must see! For cyclists, Herry Haus is 2 blocks from the Mill Street Bike Route and central to routes that will launch you as far into the hill country as you want to go! In late Spring and Summer, Herry Haus is only a 6 minute drive to local river tube outfitters where you can jump in for a 3 hour float down the Comal River or play at the popular Schlitterbahn waterpark for the day! The Herry Haus has something for everyone who want to get away for any occasion whether you want to see the sites, have a flex space or just catch your breath and relax! Herry Haus has a 2 night minimum stay and 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends. The Haus does not allow pets or smoking to keep the home allergy free. We had a wondering weekend trip & loved staying in this beautiful, spacious home. It was the perfect place to be near downtown restaurants & bars. The kitchen was perfect spot for breakfast and the backyard was too cute. If the weather had been nicer we would have had breakfast out there. Shawn is an attentive & responsive host. Can’t wait to stay there again!

We loved our stay. Just what we wanted and needed. Our family of five fit in there just fine, youngest on the pullout. We had what we needed to eat at home several meals, and enjoyed the porches for relaxing. Great location near everywhere we wanted to go. Communicative hosts made for an easy stay.

Might just have the cutest rental that we've ever stayed in. Comfortable, all the creature comforts we needed, plenty of gathering spaces, centrally located, furnished perfectly and easy to get to; but you guys are absolutely the best hosts we've ever booked from. Your generosity ensured that our family's vacation was absolutely perfect. Your hospitality is second to none and we appreciated it repeatedly. I can't offer a higher recommendation to anyone else visiting the area, you are missing an opportunity if you book elsewhere.

I cannot say enough great things about this house. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful and was even kind enough to bring us cookies on the day my wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. The house was in the perfect location with easy access to downtown and close enough to San Antonio without having to deal with all the hustle and bustle. They’re also right down the street for easy access to tubing as well. Again, great hosts a s location!!!

This place was amazing. It is the cutest house and very clean. We stayed to make some wonder memories with my daughter before she leaves for college and it was the best place to do that. The kitchen had everything that you needed and the beds were very comfortable. The owners were very sweet and made sure that we had everything that we needed.
We went to Green Hall and did a lot of shopping which was very close to the beautiful house.

The neighborhood is nice and quiet, and the house has everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Beds are comfortable and everything is clean, and the kids enjoyed a visit from the neighbors cat! We had coffee on the back porch every morning and it was very peaceful. I’ll stay here again next year:)

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our time at this lovely home! This home is beautifully decorated, so very comfortable, completely stocked- they thought of everything to make the stay so welcoming. We loved the charming character of this home, the decor was beautiful, beds so comfortable, patios and porches were wonderful to drink morning coffee or evening wine while watching the deer in the neighborhood!
This home is so close to major grocery stores and quaint local restaurants, as well as tubing companies and downtown shops! We loved floating the Comal River, listening to music at Gruene Hall, and exploring the town.
The hosts were so easy to communicate with and so friendly, making sure we were comfortable. Check in and out was so easy, and I highly highly recommended this home!

there is no way to list all the pluses on this property and the owners. Our family wanted a long weekend in the Hill country and Thanks to Shaun and Charlie it was breeze. You couldn't ask for better hosts, they allowed an early check in on arrival day and even offered to extend the check out time if needed. Charlie wanted an excuse to get his golf cart out so he extended an offer to pick us up from one of the local restaurants we walked to downtown if we were interested. As great as the hosts as they are are the property is just as nice. clean, quite great set up with a nice space on a covered porch in the back to sit an relax. It was not more than 10 minutes to the tube rental we used to float the river( Guadalupe) and its even closer to Schlitterbahn. Gruene is just a 10 minute drive and its a quick 20 minute trip to the breweries in San Marcos even Fredricksburg is only about an hour drive. Again I cant say enough about the owners and the house so I will stop there. If you need a comfortable central location to enjoy anything the hill country has to offer this is a great location with even better hosts, you will not be disappointed. If by chance there is something you need at the property that is not already there I have no doubt Shawn and Charlie will help accommodate in any way possible. Our family will absolutely be back to see them again.

We have been staying in VRBO’s for over 20 years now it seems and is not often that a property checks all the boxes but our stay in Charlie and Shawn’s rental was perfect. The house is well stocked, beds comfy, open floorplan, clean, quiet being on a cul-de-sac (the area is quiet anyway) and walking distance to everything you could want to do downtown, groceries and restaurants. The backyard is private, we enjoyed BBQing and just sitting outside after a long day of tubing and sightseeing. Don’t hesitate to book :)

Two life long friends met to recharge and visit. The house was so nice and just like the pictures. We were very comfortable and everything was carefully thought of for our convenience. In all my travels Herry Haus ranks at the top! Shawn and Charlie are the most thoughtful hosts I have ever met. The details in making your stay comfortable and complete are unsurpassed. This beautiful 1927 home was wonderful. The hosts made our stay one we will always remember. We had 0 issues, only praises. The property was very clean, the extra touches the host had for our stay were so thoughtful and they anticipated every need we might have had. Beautifully decorated for Christmas which I loved. My family and I stayed here for four days in the summer. We’ve visited NB at least a dozen times now and this is one of my new favorite places to stay. The attention to detail is amazing. The house has everything you can think of to make your stay perfect. The owners are very friendly and easy to communicate with. We had fun in the evenings with popcorn and game nights with the games and goodies provided and in the mornings looked forward to getting up and picking out our coffee with all the choices provided. The AC blows cold, the beds are comfy, the towels are thick and absorbent. It was a perfect stay. Thank you!

Everything about the Herry Haus is fabulous. The house is gorgeous with lots of character nods to New Braunfels' history. Lovely vacation home in New Braunfels
We had a lovely stay at this property. Great central location for floating the river, nearby natural bridge caverns, the Guadalupe river, and San Antonio. Also lots to do nearby in New Braunfels and Gruen.
The house itself is impeccably clean, very generously and well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms, washer dryer. The owners are gracious, kind, and available and it is very reassuring to know that if something needed to be fixed they would be so available—although everything was perfect so we didn’t need anything.!
Will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.
