The property itself was only a few minutes’ walk from Liverpool Lime Street station, which was very handy to get around the city easily. The room was small, but had all it needed - once the desk lamp was on, it was even quite cosy. There was a fair amount of space for one person, a desk and chair, a reasonably comfortable bed and everything was clean. The communal toilet and bathrooms were clean, worked well and were well-stocked with loo roll. Good space in the shared lounge and kitchen area with all amenities available and working. Communication and information was shared clearly and efficiently by the staff. It was an easy choice based on a one night visit after attending an event in the centre of Liverpool, and very good value for money (bearing in mind there was a damage deposit that had to be paid beforehand).
You can hear absolutely everything from other rooms. The walls are so thin; I could hear someone laughing and talking at a normal volume in the room next to me, which is absolutely normal and wasn’t a noise concern, but it was like they were in the room with me so I couldn’t sleep. My room was directly next to the communal toilet, so I could hear other guests using the toilet right next to my head as I laid in bed, which was extremely unpleasant. Additionally, the codes to get in the building and the room are a nightmare; the staff do provide videos for how to use them, but they are old, temperamental and in serious need of updating. I entered my correct door code several times (which was very loud and I’m sure will have disturbed other guests) and it often didn’t work. Sadly, due to these issues, I wouldn’t be staying again, even despite the good communication from the staff and reasonable comfort of the room itself.
