About this house rental
Located in Lake Gaston, this charming house for $334 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Our home is located in a quiet cove on Jimmies Creek. The home sits on a one acre lot with a gentle slope to the lake. Relax on the deck with fabulous view of the waterfront and cove. Take advantage of the propane gas grill to cook up some burgers and dogs. There is ample seating on the deck to enjoy some great outdoor eats and drinks. Use the fire-pit to roast marshmallows or simply relax by the fire. You can swim or float around the boathouse or sunbathe on the attached deck. Tie your boat up to the dock or take our two kayaks and paddle board out for a spin. Our home has an open floor plan with well stocked kitchen open to the dining area with plenty of seating and living room with a 55" Smart TV with integrated Roku. Start the day with a cup of coffee on the deck from either our 14cup coffee maker or Keurig. Dinner is a breeze when you use the 6 quart crock pot or cook up a feast on the gas range. Kitchen is stocked with service with 12. The house features four bedrooms, all with smart TV's. Two large bedrooms feature King size beds, 3rd has two twins and 4th has twin over full bunk bed. In addition, there are two and a half bathrooms. One bathroom, newly updated, features a roll top tub perfect of enjoying a soak after a day out on the water and large shower with dual adjustable shower head. The other full bath has a bathtub/shower combo. All linens and bath/kitchen towels provided (please bring your own beach towels). We offer high-speed internet via WiFi. We have a pack n play for your little one if needed (bring your own crib sheets). As mentioned above, we have 2 kayaks and a paddle board that our guests can use. There are a variety of sizes of life jackets on the premises, but no guarantees we will have your size. Your group can make use of the variety of puzzles, games and movies we have for your enjoyment. Use Alexa for music, weather or the programmed concierge service. Enjoy the ping-pong table, foosball and corn hole in the garage. Pets There is a $50 non-refundable pet fee for extra cleaning. Limit two domestic pets, but no cats. Must be current on flea/tick treatment, be one year or older and under 75 lbs for each. Please no pets on furniture. Also, out of respect for the next renter, we would kindly ask you pick up any waste in the yard made by your furry friends.

We had a wonderful few days at Serenity. The home was very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. We had fun with the games in the garage, took out the kayaks and enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit. Kitchen was very well stocked, which was a real bonus. Thanks for a great weekend and we hope to come back!

Mark was a fabulous host, very accommodating and he met all of our needs. Despite the noise from the landscaping company cutting trees we were able to have a peaceful, restful week. The property has ease of access to stores, wineries, and restuarants. Every person we encountered was also very friendly. I would recommend a visit to this beautiful lake.

This home is laid out really well for a couple of families to share. On each side of the home are two bedrooms and a bath, so it can be private. Living area in the middle. Host was great with good communication.

This house was a beautiful, peaceful, haven located just a short walk away from beautiful Lake Gaston. The view was breathtaking and relaxing. We enjoyed time on the lake with the kayaks you provided, made smores around the firepit, and played many fun games inside the house with the many games that were available. Will definitely be back!

This house and location on the lake is even better than described! The kitchen was well stocked and they even had all the essential pantry items (oils/spices, etc.) …and we were pleasantly surprised to find firewood waiting for us so we could make s’mores by the fire pit.
The paddle board was a favorite for our family…such a relaxing little cove to enjoy the peaceful lake. The owner, Mark, was wonderful about communicating…thank you for a fabulous few days at beautiful Lake Gaston! We hope to return again soon!

The house was spotless, the beds were super comfortable, and the hosts stocked the house with lots of amenities. I highly recommend this beautiful spot for your next stay. The house is spacious and clean. Everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend on the lake is provided (all we brought was food, firewood and a boat). The house sits on a lightly sloped lot down to the dock which was perfect for sitting out with a drink. The cove is nice and secluded but with a good view out to the main cove too. Beds were comfortable with high quality linens. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for all our meal prep. Overall, we had a great weekend here on the lake and would definitely return here.

This is the second time I've rented this beautiful house for a get away with girlfriends. "Serenity" is true to her name! Location is quiet and scenic and the house is open design which allows for fellowship. There are enough bedrooms for guests to get away for some private time. Sitting on the deck watching the activity on the lake is relaxing. The boat dock is perfect for coffee, drinks, or just to gaze at the beautiful lake. The house is pet friendly and equipped with everything you need. Just bring your food and drinks. The hosts are amazing and easily accessible by phone or text and are always available for questions. Hoping to book again next year. 😎

Very nice nice property everything was clean and fresh and it being pet friendly is what drew us to the property and it didn’t disappoint, nice dock with room for one boat which is all we needed. You won’t be able to see sunrises and sunsets unless you can make it out on the lake. We enjoyed quite mornings and evenings sitting on the porch and dock. We were able to see Herons and Bald Eagles. We didn’t have one complaint about this property

Thank you for a wonderful week of vacation for our family! We had my wife's family join us for a portion of the week and all 8 of us had a great time. I will definitely start future reservations at Lake Gaston by looking to see if the Serenity property is available. It's as good (or better) than advertised.
Some of our favorite attributes of the property:
- Owner was easy to work with and very responsive to questions
- Loved the layout of the home being on one level and the gentle slope of the short walk to the dock
- Cove was very calm, which made swimming, kayaking, etc very safe
- Dock was set up well to accommodate our boat and jet ski
- Comfortable furniture throughout the home
- My 7-year old and I loved getting out on the provided kayaks
- Having the garage game room (foosball, ping-pong, etc) gave the kids fun activities even on rainy afternoons
- Very dog friendly with reasonable expectations for dog owners
- Internet access was very reliable (Brother-in-law was able to participate in a 3-hr Zoom class without any issues)

Exactly what we were looking for!
We spent a week here. What you see is what you get! Started to relax the minute we got there. The house is delightful, the setting is stunning, and the owner is very responsive. We enjoyed swimming, paddling and tubing on the lake on the hot afternoons of our week's stay. The pictures are completely accurate - you are on a quiet cove with a huge dock and swim ladder. Short, easy walk from the house to the dock. House is well stocked. Thank you Mark for a memorable family vacation!

Excellent House/View and Property Manager
Great house in a secure cove. Water depth was plenty for our 23' boat with no weeds. It's a short walk down to the pier. House was clean with the basic kitchen items you would expect. Had an issue with the oven, but Mark was quick to answer and wanted to come over right away to look at it. It was pretty much exactly what we were hoping for and we have already booked next year. That says a lot as we have never before stayed at the same place twice.

The Lake is so huge, every day we saw different parts of it watching Herons and the other birds. In December/January we only saw one or two other boats in the lake - fishing. It's really quiet. Most of the people who have motor boats are not there in December/January. Perfect vacation.

Fabulous Home and Location
This Home was just perfect for my retired Teacher friends get away! The house was so roomy, cozy, and met everyone’s needs for privacy and companionship. Everyone had their own bedrooms with TVs and the 3 bathrooms accommodated everyone. The Master Bath was awesome! An extra bonus was that it was pet friendly. We loved the large open gathering area in the family room and kitchen. We enjoyed the home so much we cooked every meal there and did not venture out to any restaurant. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the activity on the beautiful lakefront. The umbrellas and shade gave us all the sun protection that we needed. The fire pit was wonderful in the cool evenings. The property owners were very responsive to all questions. Needless to say…we plan to book this home again in 2022.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway!
Our family came from different states to celebrate Thanksgiving and we felt completely comfortable and welcome at this home. It was spacious and welcoming and pulling off Thanksgiving dinner was easy with their well-stocked kitchen. We loved the backyard with the firepit, dock and kayacks. The master bath tub provided some much-needed "me" time. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Great property with plenty to do!
The house was perfect for our short stay during a wedding in the area. Although it was November, the temperature was mild so we could walk around the neighborhood and enjoy playing cards and board games in the evening. I loved the layout of the house and all the extras included. I would highly recommend this property!
