Flaxmere get away

There was everything you needed. Oven, washing machine which was excellent

There was a broken door in laundry. Pillows were too soft. Lots of dirty marks on skirting around the oven. Bathroom door didn't shut unless you locked it

Comfortable unit

Paula is an obliging host. She met us outside the unit and showed us how the lock works. The unit was certainly family friendly - spacious, clean, and with the added bonus of a laundry with washing machine, and eggs, cereal and condiment provisions for breakfast. Unfortunately the immediate surrounds are not family friendly. I am reluctant to give negative feedback, however we almost packed up and left several times. There was a continuous succession of cars pulling up at the house opposite with drivers reappearing after an absence of 30 seconds and driving off again all day each day and well into the night. Hundreds of cars. We were awoken both nights by people screaming at the top of their lungs and one night partying loudly until 4.30am. Such a shame about the neighbourhood as the unit itself is very comfortable.

Comfortable place to stay but loud neighbourhood

Comfy beds and lovely breakfast made available

The neighbourhood isn't great. Loud parties nearby almost every day/night we stayed. Shower needs resealing and the kettle was mouldy inside.

Lovely homely feeling, clean and tidy. Easy to access and great location. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed

Easy and comfortable stay for a little family of four

Perfect for a family: full kitchen, lounge, dining table and washing machine. Beds and bathroom were clean, tidy and comfortable. Bonus all of the extra things eg cereal, fruit, sauces and spreads! Super handy when cooking our meals there.

They did a wonderful job of providing a lot over and above with the things I listed above. So this recommendation is not necessary, but it would be handy to have some washing powder there for the washing machine.

Our 1 night stay at family freindly was awesome. We all really enjoyed living there.

Breakfast was good. There were ample of things in the kitchen to cook, use and eat. I liked the collection of things placed in the house. Bedrooms were of decent size. Overall the accomodation makes value of Money. The place was very neat and tidy.

Few neighbourer was vey noisy. I can hear noise of car exhaust throughout the night. The aircorn and tv batteries are both dead and they need replacement.

Wow! 😍

Wow where to start! Nutritious breakfast! And Netflix! The aircon warmed up the whole house so quick. Parking is available. Owner provides towels, bedding and closet space. So cheap for the quality and necessities provided. We had a long trip and so stoked to see coffee and tea was provided. Thank you for the stay we will be back ❤️

That we only stayed one night, next time will be longer 🤞

Didn't meet the host but lots of food left out for us, which was very nice.

The neighbourhood had a bit of dodgy stuff going on. Didn't feel super safe.

Very affordable and fully equipped

The unit was quaint. The beds were comfortable. The lounge was adequate and enough. The kitchen was stocked well with provisions. The apples were huge. My friend and I go halves. Great all round

The neighbours were noisy and it had nothing to do with the accommodation but it affected us in trying to rest. I am tall and I had trouble trying to look into the door lock with the sun shining.bright. I couldn't read as there was no lamp in the bugger bedroom

The apples. The mints. The bed was too comfy never wanted to leave. Heat pump beauty. Location nice and easily accessible to both towns. Great stay. Loved it. Would defz recommend

Surprisingly good

We travelled in Napier but no room available in the town, we had to choose something outside the town. We didn’t expect too much but it is surprisingly good! the house is fully equipped, just like a home away home😊 good value for money!

noise from the neighbors. The loud music started between 10-1am… couldn’t sleep well without earplugs. but besides that, everything is great!

Excellent homestay in a less inviting neighbourhood.

Plenty of food provided. The place was very pretty and felt loved. Lots of little extras that made you feel welcomed. Excellent wifi. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom facilities excellent.

Did not like the neighbourhood. Next door had a large dog that barked everytime someone came close to their house. There were cars coming and going across the road every 1/2 hour. Lots of activity in the street. Felt unsafe. This is no reflection on the homestay as they cant control others.

Would love to come back again!

Wonderful place which has everything that you need! Host left air conditioner on out arrival in a hot summer day, very thoughtful, Thank you Paula! Highly recommend to all!

A bit of more milk in the fridge and washing powder in the laundry could be extra handy. You have provided heaps, this is just next level of expectations.

Large unit with good facilities. Shower has been resealed from previous comments. Breakfast was from provisions left in kitchen.

Neighbourhood did not feel safe with a loose dog and frequent comings and goings from that house.
