Situated in Nelson County, this lovely house for $204 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. 3min drive to slopes. Features HOT TUB, Great Room w/ gas fireplace, grill, pack'n'play, highchair, FAST Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and Ms. PAC-MAN. WALK to trails, Nature Center, and 3min to ski! Sleeps 7: Q, Q, Q, single sofa Access to outdoor community pools/tennis, lake swimming, apple picking, fall foliage, and skiing. Take a peaceful morning walk on path across the street from the cabin. One mile to Founder's Overlook and amazing sunrises! Happy dog fee $150. Resort access not included. Outside: There is a COVERED FRONT PORCH where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. There is a BACK DECK where you can GRILL. Great room: Come in and lounge by the GAS FIREPLACE or enjoy the cool AIR CONDITIONING depending on the season of your visit. The kids immediately flock to the chess GAMING TABLE. Inside they will find checkers and chess pieces. There are dvds, games, and puzzles also available, so there is always something to do. There is a SMART TV with YouTube TV in the living room. Master Bedroom: A comfortable QUEEN bed. ENSUITE BATH with a tub/shower combo. SMART TV with YouTube TV in the bedroom. Bedroom Two: A comfortable QUEEN bed. SMART TV with YouTube TV in the bedroom. Bedroom Three: A comfortable QUEEN bed. SMART TV with a tv/dvd combo. Hall Bath: Shower/tub combo. Sheets, blankets, towels and toilet paper provided. Laundry: There is a stacked WASHER and DRYER. Usually there is detergent (not guaranteed). Kitchen: The kitchen includes a toaster oven, Keurig, traditional coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, crock pot, blender, mixer, pots, pans, baking sheets, baking dishes, and bowls. Plates, cups, and flatware is also on hand. Linens and one roll of paper towels are provided. Usually (not guaranteed) there are dishwasher pods and some basic items such as seasonings, sugar, flour, coffee filters, oil, honey, apple cider vinegar, so on. The house is WIFI enabled. Extra Highlights: *Keyless access *Streaming enabled tvs *Hair dryer *First aid kit *USB chargers *Sound spa *Amenities basket *Discounts at local partners through Wintergreen Loyalty Group The Area: Ski/snow tube: The ski shuttle pickup is right on the corner. The ski area is approximately 1.3 miles down the road if you prefer to drive. Ski rentals and lift tickets need to be purchased in advance. Be sure to get your snow tube tickets as soon as they come available as they sell out fast. Hiking: There are 30 miles of hiking trails for all levels on the mountain. There is even one that travels through the copse of trees across from the cabin! Trails are marked with picture signs of hikers. If you follow the trail, one half mile down the road, you will find The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen. Every Saturday a hike is lead from there. Swimming: Chestnut Springs outdoor swimming pool is 1.75 miles from the cabin and is open from Memorial day through Labor day. There is also an outdoor pool at Stoney Creek available for your use. (Hours might be restricted due to covid). Golf: Stoney Creek, Old Trail, Poplar Grove, Orchard Creek, and Swannanoa. (fees) Other activities: Tennis (fee), spa (fee), Sherando Lake (fee), and Lake Monocan (fee). Also consider trips on the Blue Ridge Parkway or a drive to Crabtree falls. Route 151 tours: The Silverback Distillery has real honey-liqueur infused Blackback Rye Whiskey (yum!). There are beer, wine, and cider trails if you prefer something else. Be sure to have a designated driver! You can also contact Valley Hop on Tours as they will pick up from Devil's Backbone or at the Wintergreen gate. Be sure to check out This Week at Wintergreen for all dining, shopping, and activity hours and availability. This property has a Ring doorbell. No smoking or parties allowed. Maximum capacity for overnight or day guests is 6. You will be asked to vacate the property immediately if there are more than 6 guests. We really enjoyed this cabin in Wintergreen. The home was spacious and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and the fireplace was perfect. The home had that perfect “cabin in the woods” feel and the location was close to everything we needed. The staff was very prompt in answering all of our questions and even recommended a place for horseback riding which we loved. Can’t say enough and we hope to come back again soon.

My sister from Pennsylvania and I and my two grown nephews stayed here for the week. I had not seen my youngest nephew in 10 years, since my mother‘s passing. My other nephew had only seen once. This place made us feel like we were right at home we had a fabulous fabulous time just reminiscing talking, sharing great food in this beautiful home it was just the most amazing trip! Best vacation I’ve had in years! Brought us all to tears when it was over… I highly recommend staying in this cabin! NANCY is an amazing host! Very easy to communicate with and the house was completely spotless! Will definitely stay here again in the future!

My two lady friends and I wanted to try something in the mountains vs the beach for a long weekend trip. This cabin was definitely in the woods, but we absolutely loved it! It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated in a woodsy, bear theme, and was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location was not far from the Wintergreen Resort, which offered a restaurant and bar area, plus some live music. We spent one day on Route 151, doing wine tastings, ciders and brewery visits, but our favorite thing was sitting on the large, lovely front porch, in the most comfy rocking chairs, enjoying girl talk over coffee in the mornings and wine down time in the evenings! The beds were comfy and every bedroom boasted a ceiling fan with remote control, just perfect for the “hot-flashy” gals in our group! We absolutely did NOT want to leave, will definitely return, and made lasting memories, for sure! Thank you, Nancy, for allowing us to share in your little piece of Heaven! ❤️

We only stayed one night but it was a great stop along the way. Very clean, very comfortable.. super quiet spot if you’re not into a lot of people. I wish we could have stayed a couple more nights!

This property was great and had everything we needed for a very pleasant getaway. This was our first experience staying at Wintergreen and we really enjoyed the location of the cabin. We had three teenagers with us and we managed to get them out hiking everyday . Dinner at Devils Backbone was great, pizza and sandwiches from the Market were very convenient. The house was well equipped enough for us to cook our Easter dinner. Thank you for a great experience - we really enjoyed your house!

This property was great and had everything we needed for a very pleasant getaway. This was our first experience staying at Wintergreen and we really enjoyed the location of the cabin. We had three teenagers with us and we managed to get them out hiking everyday 🙌. Dinner at Devils Backbone was great, pizza and sandwiches from the Market were very convenient. The house was well equipped enough for us to cook our Easter dinner. Thank you for a great experience - we really enjoyed your house!
