About this house rental

Located in Wardsboro, this lovely house for $429 per night is a great choice for your next break. Cozy house close to Mt.Snow and Stratton Mountain. Lots of space for large family trips. Splash around in the beautiful creek running outback in the summer. Enjoy a fire outback on a cool fall night or cozy up inside with the wood pellet stove after a day of hitting the slopes! Towels and linens provided. Bunk beds will not be made but clean linens will be provided for them. Parking available for 3 vehicles. The Home is heated by a ventless propane stove and wood pellet stove. These are the main sources of heat in the house. TV in living room is a smart TV, you can log into any of your streaming accounts. Sometimes during winter snow storms we end up with power outages and will contact the power company but restoration is out of our control. Same goes for the internet. Security camera out front and out back. Window air conditioning unit are not available until July. There are ceiling fans and a box fan available.

We feel so fortunate to have found this great spot a short drive away from Mt Snow and right on a beautiful river. Cozy, warm, and had everything we needed. Becky was so communicative and everything was easy. Thank you!

This house was very clean and met the needs of our family- friend weekend. It was well stocked with everything we needed. It’s just a few minutes away from Mt. Snow. Becky, the homeowner, was very attentive and quick to reply to messages. Thank you for the cozy house!

Milk weekend stay

We had a great long weekend stay despite the temporary loss of power due to a winter storm. All homes in the area were without power during this time. The owner was very communicative regarding this and other small issues.

This place is everything we were looking for. The Wardsboro river (Creek) running in the backyard was the only thing our kid’s needed to keep them occupied. The place was exactly as advertised. I the downside of the property was the lack of air conditioning in the second floor. It got really swampy during the night so that would’ve been a plus. Otherwise, we would definitely return again !

Quiet retreat with a nice little river out back, with plenty of room for a fire pit if you’d like. Lenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable with a nice dining and living room area downstairs. My personal favorite was the upstairs however, with several beds and the convertible washer and dryer. should you need it!

Only a few minutes from Mount Snow and Stratton. Communication with the owner was easy. We went with another family and everyone had a great time. Plenty of room for everyone.

My group and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and couldn't have asked for an easier welcome and stay. A few of my guests met the owners upon check-in and only had wonderful things to say about them. Majority of us live busy lives and Chris' home hit the spot for the perfect "off the radar" vibes but close enough to civilization if we really wanted it. The house is simple and has all the needs one can ask or want for. My group and I would gladly return!

The house was clean and came with complimentary pancakes. The internet setup at the house was unfortunately not working during our stay (Chris communicated this to us via email, which we didn't have access to at the house), but we found things to do, even without cell service. The wood pellet stove was not an issue. Overall, my group and I had a pleasant time.

The property is as advertised and large enough for a group of friends or families. The view of trees and the river in the back are great and breathtaking. The home is very easy to get to and located between two great ski resorts, Stratton and Mt Snow! If your looking for a good location with a great and responsive owner, look no further!

Very good!

We had a great time and can't wait to go back! The house is very nice inside and is well kept! The stream outback is beautiful and we loved the fire pit. Our only complaint is that the grass wasn't cut and was very high but other than that it was a great stay!

This home was as described . Our purpose was skiing and snowboarding and the proximity to Mt Snow and Stratton were great!! Plus we actually had a lot of snow. Chris (owner) was very a helpful from the start. There is no local or cable TV and she made certain that wifi was in great working order so we could use Firestick to watch the olympics. The house was spotless with all the extras sheets towels which were not old and overused and the beds were new and comfy. We had a little problem with the heat but called Jim the maintenance man who came over immediately and fixed it. We would reccommend this home to others for sure. Thanks Chris!

Perfect place to stay

My family (husband and two children) along with another family with two children stayed at this property for 3 nights to celebrate a 40th birthday and to go skiing/snowboarding. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would gladly go back. As previous reviews have mentioned, the house is fully stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and there's a barbecue on the back deck which we also enjoyed using. The TV downstairs has netflix and tons of good DVDs for the children to watch along with another TV upstairs in the children's room. The bathrooms had plenty of toilet paper, soap, towels, etc. and it was nice to have a washer and dryer available along with laundry detergent available to use. The children loved sledding in the back yard (sleds were also provided with the house) and the view of the river in the back was priceless. It was a perfect getaway from our busy lives at home and we will gladly return again.
