The home is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. ALL THE BEDS were very comfortable! If you are looking for a Victorian home to highlight your Gettysburg experience, this is the place!

Location is perfect.. 1 block from restaurants, shops, and bars. 10min walk from grocery store. One of the best homes we have stayed in! Charming backyard, well stocked kitchen for cooking (pots, pans, utensils), dining room table (was not in pics) perfect for meals and game nights. Beds were comfortable and shower amazing. We had 4 adults and 2 tweens.

Our family loved everything about this home. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, and in a great location for everything we had planned for the 156th anniversary (as well as some awesome game nights)! We were able to zip over to the house between our battle walks during the day and walk into town to shop and dine in the evenings. Carla was amazing and prompt in answering our questions. There are too many amazing things to say about this property! We will definitely be back to visit the historic Victorian Rose in Gettysburg!

Loved the location and the accommodations. Could walk to almost everywhere. My daughter and nephew from florida loved the expresso and frothing machine every morning with breakfast. My grandson of 12 loved it here too. I would recommend this home to all my friends and family.

This is a great family rental. It was spacious, had a small yard and was close to downtown as well as a school with a playground. My husband and I spent some time working while we were there and the wifi was reliable and the house had room for us to separate for meetings and ample desk/table space. The three bedrooms were just right for our family of five (one teen and two in the under 10 category). The house is nicely decorated but still kid friendly. While it is an old house, it has a nicely updated kitchen and baths and a modernized AC system. Our only issues were fighting the Nest thermostat that kept insisting on setting the house to 65 degrees (we have a Nest at our house and it's easy enough to adjust) and someone had left a cookie sheet that appeared to have been used to heat up pizza in the oven (although we seem to be a magnet for this with VRBO rentals, on a previous trip someone had left seafood chowder in the microwave, this was not nearly so bad as that!!). All in all, great place to stay in a fun area loaded with shops and eateries. Be sure to visit the candy store on the corner!

Carla is one of the best owners we have rented from. She is a hands-on owner who responded to any questions I had. We stayed during a very hot week and were concerned about how hot the house would be. When we arrived the home was already cool and remained so even during a 101-degree heat index in Gettysburg. This house feels like you are staying in a friend's home and not a vacation rental. So many details make you feel special. You can tell this house has been cared for by the owner as well as the people who have stayed there. It is in the center of town yet it is quiet and private. Modern amenities such as updated plumbing and air conditioning make this home feel like a luxurious stay. The appliances are higher end and anything you would need is in the kitchen to make it feel like home. The house is very clean with beautiful finishes. There were no fingerprints or smudges on windows or glass. The location is close to town and you can walk anywhere. All the attractions in town are within a 10-minute walk. Parking is also a VIP bonus where you don't have to park in town to find a space or pay a meter. Sitting on the front porch is fun as the people walk by and say hello in a friendly way. But if you crave privacy, the back porch is a private garden full of trees and bushes. Every evening, we watched a bunny come eat dinner and enjoy the backyard. The beds are comfortable and the linens are also of higher quality. The bedrooms were quiet and the kids loved the "blue room". They also enjoyed discovering "secret locked doors", which were just locked staircases, and thought of many fun stories of the house and Gettysburg. High-speed WiFi was a huge hit with our kids but also gave us a chance to watch movies on the streaming device we brought with us. It also gave us the support to have a mobile office which made things easy for us. The renovated bathroom was fantastic with that shower! You can tell much thought went into renovating it. I can't say enough about this splendid home. We look forward to returning soon!

Great location and large, nice house!

Had a great time! Property is both period-accurate and newly renovated, a real achievement! Landlord was very proactive in helping us solve any problems! A great little getaway!
