Really enjoyed the house. The kitchen was beautiful with granite countertops and the living room was very nice. Beautiful large TV to entertain and an entertainment room with a piano. Outdoor deck has beautiful evening views of West Covina. House is a little dated could use some TLC. Well worth the money spent would gladly come back and stay again we will keep this at the top of our listing for California in that area. Thanks to Philip he's a wonderful host he made things very easy for us thanks again we'll see you soon.

Well this was a very great location and I felt we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view was amazing. The only thing is that the floor was very dusty and furniture was very outdated and actually some pieces were falling apart it wouldn’t hurt to upgrade the furniture otherwise everything was perfect we had a great experience and would love to stay there again

You get what you pay for. I think the listing should be a little clearer as to what you’re getting. Older house about 50 minutes outside of LA. Beautiful view, spacious, and has everything you need. The house is aging and has a few non traditional design pieces, but it’s a steal for the price. Just go in knowing this isn’t a new build or a remodel.

The home is beautiful, however it is extremely dusty. The disposal don’t work and water wouldn’t go down. Showers water would not go down. I really did love it even with those flaws because the neighborhood and a safe feel!

Location is wonderful! The views are what sold us! The house is a little older and could use a little love. The shower is for someone shorter and the water does not drain properly. Little details like having to search for the correct switch to turn on the kitchen light versus the living room light and tape on certain light switches was a little weird.

Phil, the owner, seems like a nice guy and I hope this review helps him to improve his customer's experience and his business. The property is spacious with a large deck with a good view. However, it seems like Phil needs some help with making the guests feel comfortable. These are the things that could be better:First thing we notice when we checked in was that there was just half a roll of toilet paper between two bathrooms, so we had to leave right away and get more toilet paper. Phil did apologize for this.The towels/napkins were a assortment of old multicolored left overs. I have never seen this in any property I have stayed at. Clean/fresh white towels would have been nice. Couch in the living room where the TV is located, is ripped. Something, most people won't have in their home.Kitchen microwave was dirty with red stuff splattered all over, seems like it was not cleaned from previous use. Toaster burnt half of the toast, the other half was OK.There were a total of 3 old assorted utensils in the kitchen, only one had a cover. Seemed like something picked up at a yard sale. I had to use a baking pan to cover a frying pan. Salt/pepper shaker was empty. Salt and pepper are the most basic things ins should expect in a kitchen. Sugar was in a plastic bag bought from the store. Coffee container was empty, we had to pick up coffee the first night. Kitchen had a total of three trash bags. Bathroom had no soap/shampoo/bodywash. Luckily we had brought our own soap. Shower did not even have soap caddy or a place on the shower to put the soap. We had to leave it on the shower floor. Shower head height is 5', 6", so even for a short person like me, I had to duck to wash my hair. One of the two towel hangers on the door was missing. Out of the dozen or so vacation rentals, I have stayed in during the past two years, this was the worst experience.I have pictures to prove everything. I hope Phil can fix these things for the next guests.

It was a really nice house in a decent enough area the location wasn't to far from everything 9nly issue was that there were still things left over from the previous group that stayed there like 9ld used soap's old food in the fridge other than that it was great

Great home for our 2 families for our LA trip. Spacious and was in a good neighborhood. It could use some TLC but had the necessities for our stay.

Biggest issue was bugs my wife came and stayed one night while making the bed the next morning and found small bugs in the bed she did not stay went back home. I primarily stayed there just to sleep while I was in town for a car show. It could’ve been a little cleaner but overall it wasn’t super expensive

Great location, awesome view, great price. Overall a decent place to stay if you need to be in the area. Great local restaurants.. The house has some updates in process which takes a bit away from the overall stay. I would stay here again for the price.

A great spot for a family close to many LA attractions. Our adult children loved the view and the back patio! House was clean and well stocked.

Not sure why anyone would call this a dump, like a prior reviewer said. The house has very large common areas and a gorgeous back patio/deck with an amazing view, just like in the photos. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet with a quick 5 minute drive to stores, restaurants, and pretty much everything you could need. There was some wear and tear, but not not anything that adversely impacted our stay. We had an issue with not getting hot water for showers, and owner offered to call a plumber to resolve. We just turned the water heater up when we needed it, which worked fine. It would be helpful for owner to provide written info on operating appliances, but we eventually figured everything out for ourselves. No issues with towels, either, like some earlier reviews complained of. Would be even better if some sets of glasses & mugs were provided. Communications with owner were prompt and friendly.

Needs more professionalism
Im a manager of many houses at evolve vacation rental with over 15 years of experience. As soon as we walked in the door, the entire place smelled like the cheapest motel you’ve ever been in. The smell alone would have made us ask to cancel immediately, but having prior arrangements at 5 AM we didn’t have the ability to cancel. The fun really began The next night after getting home from a full day at Disneyland. There were no towels in the bathrooms and we had to search around to find those. We did finally find those “towels” in a filthy linen cabinet in the hallway. They, like everything else, smelled and looked like towels that the thrift store would throw out. Black mold in the washing machine and the bathrooms. Cobwebs and spiderwebs everywhere, holes in the walls and doors. Vent fan in the bathroom falling out of the ceiling, stains on the area rugs in the bedroom and front room. Duck tape repair on the floor in the master, rips and tears in the couches and chairs, repaired with packing tape. All of the surfaces were dusty with tacky decor covered in dust as well. The floors were sticky had not been cleaned for some time. I could go on. Just do yourself a favor and do not stay at this pig sty, you’ll thank me for it. I sent pictures to the contact for the place “Phil” asking him if there was any way he would like to try and make it right for us. Instead of even offering an apology, he simply ignored me. 0 stars. STAY AWAY!!
