Situated in Riva del Garda, this lovely condo for $326 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Villa Angelica description: Founded in 1360 as a paper mill, then for centuries mansion of aristocracy, it is today an elegant residence. The villa now offers 7 apartments, all different from one another, partly furnished with antiques and equipped with every modern comfort. Villa Angelica is surrounded by a wonderfull park of 5 hectares with swimmingpool and sauna and is located only 900 m from the centre of one of the most romantic towns of Lake Garda: Riva. Apartment description: We are pleased to welcome you to this luxurious apartment of 115sq. meters. It occupies the entire second floor of the right wing of the house and accommodates 2 to 7 people. On one side, it overlooks the villa’s courtyard and fountain, on the opposite side, it faces the mountains and looks down on the nearby stream "Albola". It features three large bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and large windows throughout, from where to enjoy the beautiful view of the mountains and the villa.

The setting of the villa is magical, really nice garden area with, when you want a lot of privacy The pool is relatively small but good. Angelica en Rafael and lovely dog Caja are great hosts. Appartment (Umberto Eco) was basic but good, but also very hot in the midst of (a hot) summer. Their are numerous fans but no airco. On the left side of the house and appartment is a small river with a waterfall. Did not really bother us, but be aware of that when you are sensitive for noise. All in all a great experience. Will definitely come back when visiting Grada lake. Riva is by the way a really nice town, Angelica and Rafael have free bikes availabl so you are in the centre of town very quickly (prepare back for a bit hilly climb:-).

Wat een OASE ! Prachtig huis op een prachtig terrein.
Het huis is oud, maar authentiek. Het ligt op 10' lopen van het centrum en voldoet aan alles wat wij wilden, eigen appartement, parkeren achter het huis, mooi zwembad, sauna. En de eigenaar is "one of a kind" echt super! Alles kan en hij zal alles doen om het je naar de zin te maken. Aanrader met 5 sterren.

Schöne große Villa mit Pool
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, und waren begeistert.
Auch die Nutzung von Pool und Sauna war klasse.
Auch das tiramisu war ein Traum.
Wenn vielleicht das ein oder andere Fenster mehr eine Insektengase bekäme wäre es über perfekt.

Our family, five adults and one child, joined for one night by another adult, were visiting for our daughter's wedding and we stayed for nearly a week. We enjoyed our stay in Umberton Eco and felt comfortable and well provided for. As others have noted, we were surprised with a free dessert one day, which we appreciated and very much enjoyed. It is evident that others staying at Villa Angelica were also very happy so we can recommend that others stay there.
The locality is beautiful, and there are many facilities and entertainments in easy reach that we would have wanted to utilise more if we had been able to stay longer. We could also have used the pool, which is clean and well maintained. The grounds are well maintained, offer some privacy and provide a good place to relax and unwind.
The only pitfall is that some webpages appear to confuse which rooms are in which apartments at the Villa. It may be worth asking about that when preparing to book! Emberto Eco consists of two bathrooms joined together by a shower, kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms and a spacious sitting area. The joined bathrooms surprised us, but the arrangement worked well for us. The kitchen has plenty of room for storage and food preparation. Bedrooms were well prepared, and the sitting area has plenty of seating. All other facilities of the Villa were available, and it is very good value!

Ein wunderbares Anwesen sehr nahe am Gardasee
Wir haben bereits 2016 in dieser wunderschönen Villa eine Woche verbracht. Wir hatten das Zimmer Umberto Eco mit 5 Erwachsenen und einem Kind. Hatten aber auch Gelegenheit einige der anderen Apartments anschauen zu können. Jedes ist sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Umberto Eco bietet sehr viel Platz und ist bestens geeignet für 6 Personen. Toll auch, die beiden Badezimmer. Dass es für beide Bäder nur eine gemeinsame, dafür sehr große Dusche gibt, haben wir nicht als Nachteil gesehen. Sie ist von beiden Bädern zugängig, man kann aber dennoch gleichzeitig die Bäder benutzen.
In der Küche ist alles vorhanden was benötigt wird.
An einem regnerischen Tag war die sehr nette Seniora Angelica gleich bemüht, uns eine Möglichkeit für Besichtigungen "im Trockenen" zu geben. Wir haben es aber genossen, mal einen Tag in der Wohnung zu verbringen und diese genießen zu können.
Umgeben ist die Villa mit einem wunderschönen, sehr gepflegten Park. Das Highlight für unsere, letztes Jahr 3 jährige Enkeltochter, war der tolle Pool. Ein kleiner Nachteil bei unserem Apartment ist, dass es in der obersten Etage liegt. Wir essen gerne draußen und der Weg alles in den Garten zu tragen damit entsprechend lange. Umso mehr haben wir unser Frühstück im Park genossen.
Die Lage ist ruhig und in 10 bis 15 Min ist man zu Fuß an den Gardasee spaziert. Der Weg dorthin ist zwar nicht wirklich schön, aber zumindest verkehrsarm.

Einfach nur schön
Allein die Unterkunft ist eine Reise wert. Hier ist für jeden etwas dabei, egal ob Erholung pur oder Sportmöglichkeiten aller Art. Supernette Vermieter.

Beautiful villa in own private grounds
We are a family of 6 with 4 teenage boys. Villa Angelica was a really beautiful place to stay for our weeks holiday. We loved the apartment, umberto Eco,which was perfect for us with 3 good size bedrooms and a big living room with a spectacular ceiling. The swimming pool was a real luxury and very impressive at night with the different colour lights. The sun loungers are incredibly comfortable and we did enjoy our week of relaxing. The lake and town of Riva are approximately 15 mins walk away or 5 mins by bicycle. There was plenty to do in the area whether it be relaxing or cycling/walking in the mountains. The family were very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome, rather like a big extended family. We would love to go back again.

Beautiful villa and gardens
We spent a week in Umberto Eco with our son, daughter and their partners. The impressive Villa Angelica is set well away from traffic and has delightful gardens, with a recently installed swimming pool. The apartment is spacious and cool with 3 good sized bedrooms. The town centre is about a 15-minute walk away, the lakeside 5 minutes or so further on. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week in this splendid accommodation.

Wer den Charme und Patina eines historischen Anwesens liebt, aber auf neuzeitlichen Komfort nicht verzichten möchte, ist hier richtig.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft
Wir waren in der ersten Maiwoche 2016 mit zwei Familien mit zwei kleinen Kindern in der Ferienwohnung Umberto Eco. Die Wohnung ist charmant und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Der Garten ist wunderschön und der neu angelegte Pool ein Highlight. Als Gast fühlt man sich sofort gut umsorgt von den netten Gastgebern, die mit guten Tipps und Hilfe zur Seite stehen. Im Haus gibt's eine Spielecke mit Spielsachen. Unseren Kleinen hat es der wunderbare Brunnen mit den Goldfischen angetan.
Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für das teilweise langsame Internet und die Dusche, die sich die beiden Badezimmer teilen.
Dennoch vielen herzlichen Dank an die Gastgeber für den schönen Aufenthalt!

es ist wie "nach Hause kommen"...wunderbar
Wieder einmal haben wir unsere knappe und wichtige Urlaubszeit am richtigen und schönsten Ort verbracht den wir auswählen konnten ....es war wirklich "wie nach Hause" zu kommen ...... die Villa ist einfach ein wunderbarer,stilvoller und erholsamer Ort welcher durch die herzliche Gastlichkeit zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebniss wird ! Man kann an dieser Stelle eigentlich nur von Herzen Danken für die Möglichkeit so ein wundervolles Domizil als Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche herrliche Ausflüge zu bekommen um die Schönheit des Gardasees in gänze zu genießen und zu erleben ! Es war schlichtweg wieder Besonders ! -DANKE für alles nochmal an dieser Stelle ---vor allem dafür das wir uns als Stammgäste fühlen dürfen ........wenn nicht in der Villa...wo dann........ Traumhafter Urlaub
Wir waren mit unseren Kindern (4 und 6) das erste Mal in dieser Villa. So eine direkte und herzliche Begrüßung hab ich bisher bei noch keiner Ferienwohnung erlebt. Während der Urlaubszeit haben wir Zuchini aus deren Garten und sogar einen kleinen selbst gebackenen Kuchen für die Kinder bekommen! Man fühlt sich wie in einer großen Familie. Unsere Wohnung Vincenzo Errante war sehr stillvoll eingerichtet. Wir können diese Villa mit Ihrer Parkanlage und ihre Wohneinheiten definitiv weiterempfehlen. Die schönen Bilder auf dieser Seite stimmen mit der Realität überein. Daher 5 Sterne!!!!!

Sehr schönes Anwesen und viel Platz für Familie
Wir wurden sehr herzlich von der Hauseigentümerin empfangen, ebenso auch von Ihrem Sohn und dem kleinen Haushund, der das Anwesen beschützt :) Das Anwesen bietet wirklich überaus reichlich Platz, den sich die Urlauber für Mahlzeiten, Spaziergänge durch den hübschen Garten oder sonstige Freizeitaktivitäten teilen können. Wir, als Familie mit kleinen Sohn, profitierten auch von der reich mit Spielzeug gesähten Kinderecke, aus der sich unser Sohn auch sofort annähernd die Hälfte unter den Nagel riss :)

We are a family of four staying in Riva for a sailing event that my 15 year old daughter was competing in: Villa Angelica suited us perfectly - we stayed in Umberto Eco which is very comfortable and plenty of room for us with the kids having a room each. We hired bikes and found that the villa is the perfect compromise - close enough to be in Riva in 2 minutes by bike and far enough away to escape the crowds. The garden is very spacious and quiet and a pleasure to sit in and read and enjoy the sun. The owners are perfect hosts - among other things organised pizzas for delivery and baked a gorgeous cake for us. There are good facilities for clothes washing downstairs and a place to park the car. It is also very safe and secure so we never had to even think about locking up the bikes! We will be back and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

eine kleine Oase am Gardasee
Wir haben zwei Wochen das gemütliche Apartment "Rafael" bewohnt und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Familie ist sehr liebenswürdig und angenehm zurückhaltend, die Betreuung persönlich. Egal ob Ausflugstipps oder einfach nur ein nettes Gespräch, wir haben uns immer herzlich willkommen gefühlt. Und der selbstgebackene Kuchen von Maria hat natürlich auch dazu beigetragen :-) Das gesamte Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet, so kann man den Gardasee genießen! Vielen Dank, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft auch für Kongressreisen
Ich hatte das Vergnügen mit drei meiner Kollegen in der Villa Angelica während eines Kongresses in Riva del Garda unterzukommen.
Wir waren begeistert von der Ausstattung, sowie der Großzügigkeit unserer Unterkunft (Appartment Umberto Eco). Selbst für das Kleinkind meiner Kollegin stand ein Bett bereit. Das historische Anwesen und der Fluss mit dem kleinen Wasserfall auf dem Grundstück sind wunderschön, mit dem Rauschen des Flusses im Ohr hab ich wunderbar geschlafen, was sonst bei mir nicht selbstverständlich ist.
Die Gastgeber sind herzlich und freundlich, sodass bis auf das Dauerregenwetter unser Kongressaufenthalt in Riva ein wahres Vergnügen war. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Eine wundervolle Zeit an einem wundervollem Ort
Wenn etwas wichtig ist während eines langersehnten Urlaubes -ist es nicht nur das Land-die Stadt-die "Umgebung" --nein ---es ist für diesen Zeitraum das "Zu Hause" in welchem man nach wunderbaren Tagestouren,Erlebnissen und "Genussmomenten " Abends erschöpft und zufrieden wieder einkehrt ! Dieses "Zu Hause" stellte uns Frau Risatti-Glas in wundervoller Art und Weise zur Verfügung ---ein besonderes Ambiente -in einer außergewöhnlichen Imobilie-gepaart mit einer Wundervollen Gastlichkeit angefangen von der Herzlichen und zuvorkommenden Begrüßung durch Rafael --über den "Guten" und fleißigen "Hausgeist" Maria der stets dafür sorgt das in diesem Anwesen alles zur Zufriedenheit der Gäste steht -über die Dame die dafür gesorgt hat das der "Parkgarten" immer herrlich ausschaut (und all die anderen guten "Hausgeister") bis hin zu Frau Risatti-Glas die Gastfreundschaft wirklich "lebt" -
mehr kann eigentlich nicht gesagt werden da das geschriebene Wort das persönliche Erlebniss nicht annährend wiedergeben können ---daher kurz und "knackig" --einfach ein HERZLICHES DANKESCHÖN !!! -das wir diese wenigen aber so wichtigen Tage die uns zur Verfügung stehen, bei Ihnen genießen durften --und das bestimmt nicht das letzte mal !!!

Traumurlaub für die ganze Familie
Dieses wunderbare Domizil muss man einfach weiterempfehlen, denn perfekter kann man gar nicht Urlaub machen. Wir sind eine größere Familie und waren ALLE rundherum zufrieden (und das ist mitunter gar nicht so leicht zu erreichen). Das ganze Anwesen liegt traumhaft ruhig inmitten eines alten Parks voller Geheimnisse mit historischen Springbrunnen, Olivenbäumen, Palmen... vor der Kulisse der überraschend hohen Berge.
Hier lässt es sich bei Hitze wunderbar aushalten und man läuft auch kaum anderen Besuchern über den Weg, da der Park so weitläufig ist. Die Ferienwohnung Umberto Eco ist größer als man es von den Bildern her erwartet. Sie ist geschickt mit einem geschmackvollen Mix aus Antiquitäten und modernen Möbeln so eingerichtet, dass man deutlich das historische Flair spürt, aber auch nicht Kinder ständig von etwaigen zerbrechlichen Gegenständen/Gefahrenquellen fernhalten muss. Wir durften auch mal einen Blick in zwei andere Ferienwohnungen werfen- sie sind alle wunderschön.
Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen freundlich und nimmt alle Anliegen der Gäste ernst, jeder Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt.
Von der Villa zur Innenstadt und zum Gardasee kann man sehr gut zu Fuß gehen. Unsere größeren Kinder konnten also auch allein durch die Stadt streifen und die Kleinen waren froh, so naturnah zu wohnen und im Park die coolen Rutscherautos zu testen.
Die Badestrände in Riva fanden wir toll, und -nachdem wir einige andere Städte und Strände angeschaut hatten- auch am schönsten.
Die Julihitze ließ sich für uns Norddeutsche gut verkraften, denn durch die hohen Berge ist es hier immer etwas angenehmer als z.B. am Südufer. Zu guter Letzt: überall sind uns die Menschen in Riva freundlich begegnet, die sprichwörtliche Kinderfreundlichkeit der Italiener war deutlich zu spüren. Sobald es geht, kommen wir wieder!

We recently returned from a trip to Europe where we spent a week of the trip at the Villa. We had a wonderful time... Angelica was a fantastic host (we really enjoyed the home made tiramisu ;-). We stayed in Umberto Eco, which was perfect for our family. It was a little tricky to find as the cars navigation system didn't find the address, but luckily Google maps could. Hopefully we'll get a chance to visit again... we loved the villa, Angelica, Riva del Garda, and the surrounding towns in northern Italy.

A great place for our family of 5!
We recently returned from a trip to Europe where we spent a week of the trip at the Villa. We had a wonderful time... Angelica was a fantastic host (we really enjoyed the home made tiramisu ;-). We stayed in Umberto Eco, which was perfect for our family. It was a little tricky to find as the cars navigation system didn't find the address, but luckily Google maps could. Hopefully we'll get a chance to visit again... we loved the villa, Angelica, Riva del Garda, and the surrounding towns in northern Italy.

We would like to reccomend Villa Angelica to all travellers to Lake Garda!
The charming Domus Claudius provides the perfect accomodation for our family of four!!
Whilst being a separate house from the Villa, it is just a stone throw away and is giving us all the privacy and tranquillity we needed. Everything is simply perfect! All facilities are in perfect working conditions and cooking in the garden while listening to the sound from the nearby river is magic.
Most importantly, we thank Signora Maria and Signora Angelica for making our holiday even more special!!
We are still here, but already sad to be leaving soon and will definetly return next year!!

This was our first trip to the italian lakes traveling in a group of 9 which included 3 young children the Villa Angelica was quite unbelievable and not what any of us had really expected,with a drive from Verona of approximately 1h 45 the apartments where quite spectacular they were very clean and spacious with all the amenities you would expect. we stopped in the newly completed evo apartments on the third floor of this magnificent building the living area with its exposed timber roof trusses and the timber floors really did show the extent to which the owner had restored this building, the gardens were well maintained with the soothing sound of the mountain stream as it passed by the property.the added security of an electronic gated property made us all feel very at ease, the owner of the property a warm and welcoming lady whom couldn’t do enough for us even inviting us in to her own private apartments for drinks, you really did feel part of the family.
There was plenty of on site parking and i would recommend the villa suitable for families.
The owner informed us that she would be introducing some english speaking television programs to the mainly dominated German channels and although this was, from our point of view, purely to catch up on news this would not put us off using this property in the future.
The property was situated approx 20 min walk from the town of Riva del Garda and was a most pleasant walk even with young children the town situated on the lake was full of history with beautiful scenery and surrounded by a mountain landscape, the weather, with the exception of one rainy day, was sunny with temperatures reaching the high 30’s.
In summery this is a place well worth a visit!

Auf der Suche nach einer schönen Bleibe am Gardasee stießen wir vor zwei Jahren im Internet auf die "Villa Angelica". Die Bilder waren bereits vielversprechend, doch die Realität übertraf noch unsere Erwartungen. Das Anwesen ist traumhaft schön und vermittelt einem das Gefühl, die Gegend auf eine besondere Art und Weise kennenlernen zu dürfen - gerade der wunderschön angelegte Garten läd zum verweilen ein und lässt einen unweigerlich an Goethes Worte denken: Kennst du das Land,wo die Zitronen blühn,Im dunkeln Laub dieGold-Orangen glühn.Der Eigentümerin ist es wichtig, die Geschichte und den Geist des Hauses lebendig zu halten - so finden sich z.B.Originalmöbel in den liebevoll eingerichteten Ferienwohungen. Diese bieten alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt - selbst der obligatorische Espressokocher für den Herd ist vorhanden! Die Lage bietet insbesondere Mountainbikern die Gelegenheit, direkt vor der Haustür die Touren zu beginnen. Man ist aber auch nach ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß in der Altstadt von Riva.Wir waren mittlerweile zweimal Gast der Seniora und ihrer guten Seele Maria und der nächste Urlaub ist bereits gebucht!

Irreparabile fugit tempus – so mahnt die Sonnenuhr an der Wand der Villa – umso schöner, wenn man selbst der Zeit einmal entfliehen kann! Wie das geht? – In der Villa Angelica!Das schwere Tor schloss sich hinter uns, der Park lag vor uns und wir fuhren auf diese wunderschöne Villa zu - dem Alltag ganz plötzlich schon ein gutes Stück ferner.Die Herzlichkeit, die aus der Korrespondenz vorab sprach, bekam nun ein Gesicht – Signora Angelica!In ihrer unnachahmlichen Art machte Angelica uns mit den Geheimtipps der hiesigen Gastronomie bekannt (jedes Mal ein Genuß) und versorgte uns mit allem auch sonst Wissenswerten.Unser Appartement Vincenzo Errante hielt, was es per Bild versprach, ebenso wie die anderen Appartements, die wir uns nach Abreise der Gäste anschauen durften. Abends, wenn unsere Kinder schliefen, setzten wir uns auf die Freitreppe und genossen das Rauschen des Bergbaches, die laue Sommerluft und den Blick auf die Lichter von Riva bei einem Glas Wein vom Winzer um die Ecke. „Tun Sie mir den Gefallen und stellen Sie sich den Tisch raus – ich liebe es, wenn die Stimmen und das Lachen meiner Gäste zu mir nach oben dringen!“ – Gibt es ein "Mehr" an ehrlich gemeinter Gastlichkeit?!Die zweite gute Seele des Hauses, Maria, verwöhnte alle Gäste mit selbst gezogenen Tomaten und war so herzlich, dass unser Sohn (5 J.) gern mit ihr nach Guido, dem kleinen Hund schaute, obwohl sie sich nur mit Zeichensprache verständigen konnten. Die Welt ist zu groß und zu schön, um zweimal an den gleichen Ort zu fahren – das war bislang unser Motto. Und nun? Wir haben schon für das nächste Jahr gebucht und bringen noch einen Teil unserer großen Familie mit. Wie unvergesslich ein Urlaub wird, hängt im Wesentlichen von einem selbst ab. Dass unser Urlaub im August für uns unvergesslich geworden ist, hängt aber auch damit zusammen, dass wir hier einen Ort gefunden haben, der an Strahlkraft seines Gleichen sucht und eine Gastgeberin erleben durften, die nicht nur Herz und Verstand, sondern auch einen feinen Sinn für Humor und ein Gespür für die Farben des Lebens hat.Wir danken von ganzem Herzen für diese schöne Zeit und sagen „Diaaooou“ (wie unsere kleine Tochter immer rief)Herzlichst,Charlotte, Maximilian, Conni & Gregor
