About this house rental
Located in Sound Beach, this charming house for $243 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Located on cul de sac with amazing water view! Sleeps 6+, 2 bedrooms(full beds), loft (2 twins), plus blow up mattress, full bathroom with tub & bidet, washer, & dryer. Large sectional in living room with fireplace, outdoor fire pit, gas BBQ, 22 minutes to closest vineyard, 20 mins to Port Jefferson (ferry to CT & train station to NYC) with shopping & specialty restaurants, 1 hour to Hampton’s, 3 miles to coffee shop & grocery store. All about 30 mins or less: East Wind Day Spa, Tanger Outlets, Splish Splash water park, Atlantis Marine World Aquarium. Walking distance to beach access! (Walk is 3-4 blocks, moderate to rigorous hills, roughly 100 stairs down to beach level. Can drive to stairs. Beaches on north shore of LI are sandy & rocky, water shoes suggested, but not necessary). Pets upon approval. Exterior security cameras for your safety, 2 in front, 1 on north side, & 1 in back.

Beautiful cozy space! Very quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend.

The home was so clean, all updated and had everything you can think of. From the first aid kit to sugar and tums. The host Cheri was super kind and helpful. There’s a little book of stories from other families who have stayed and it was a delight to add on to the journal. The heated toilet and waterfall shower head was a perk I didn’t know I needed in my life so much. The linens smelled good and super clean. The pillows had options. A harder pillow and a softer one. I love the thoughtfulness of each thing.
All of the rooms have tvs which was a plus. However the only drawback was the wifi doesn’t seem to reach the back room. We didn’t care though since we were out and about visiting family the whole time or watching tv in the living room. The fireplace is great and the online photos do not do this place justice! Would certainly come again for sure.

Great location 2 houses from beach. Little muddled on how to access the beach steps but figured it out. Overall very comfortable. Houses very close together. Unable to use fire pit because of elderly folks next door hacking away. Host was the best.

We stayed here to be close to a wedding venue for our family. The house was cute and adorable, very clean, and would go back again. I loved the peace and quiet. The beach was gorgeous. Although the journey down the steps may be challenging for some people, once you got down there it was worth the hike. I would recommend another mirror and another TV. This property is just lovely and will consider returning again.

Our family sincerely enjoyed staying at this amazing house! So cute and private. We played games, bbqed, went to the beach and watched tv together. We will definitely be coming back here in the future!

My sister, niece and I were super comfortable in this quintessential easternLong Island cottage. We are both LI natives, living out of state, visiting to attend a family 90th birthday. I prepared 130 cupcakes (having brought along my own equipment & tools) in the beautiful kitchen & dining space. Enjoyed the beach as well. Price point was perfect. The house was very comfortable. The host, Cheri, was super easy to work with. We enjoyed the fireplace and streaming service when we had a cold rainy day. The house was well appointed.

This property is absolutely beautiful.
House is fully stocked with any and everything you need. The backyard has lilac bushes that fill the air and house with the most beautiful scent and scenery. I watched a family of deer one morning while having coffee. Most amazing experience in seeing them. We are definitely coming back!

We stayed at this property in the summer of 2021. We have family that live in a small house in the neighborhood and found this home not only incredibly convenient location wise, but so clean and easy as well. When we booked our flights for this recent trip I knew exactly where I wanted my family to stay. The host is very easy to reach (not that we needed to reach her bc everything is extremely accessible and well thought out). We will be back without a doubt!

This home was the perfect place for our family to enjoy the holidays. Plenty of room to relax and unwind. Ample sleeping arrangements. Well stocked house with everything you need. Comfortable sofa and bed. Big dining room table for family dinners. Not a huge house, but great use of space and well appointed. We loved our time there. Cheri, the host, was so responsive and pleasant in her communication with us. You could tell she really wanted us to enjoy our stay. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. Overall, a great home and host that exceeded our expectations. Thank you Cheri!

From the minute we walked into the property, we were absolutely set at ease that this was going to be a perfect holiday for our family.
Tastefully decorated throughout, the accommodations worked perfectly for our Thanksgiving stay. The views of the beach reminded of us of home and being so close to everything that Long Island has to offer, was a definite plus for us.
If you want a very quiet and relaxing way to enjoy Long Island, we highly recommend staying here!

Everything about this house and this host was perfect! Cheri is the best VRBO host I have encountered so far and she made everything so smooth and wonderful for us. The house was exactly as listed and had absolutely everything we needed. It was clean and clutter-free and the perfect size for us. The location was great and the beach views were beautiful. A very enjoyable and relaxing home. Sat outside in back listening to the waves crashing on the shore. Kitchen was nicely equipped. Comfortable bedding as well.

The house is very cute. Nice location. House had all the tools needed for a nice visit. There were a couple of issues. There was only one wash cloth should have a few more available. Also the sheets on the bed downstairs are very uncomfortable they were rough. I was glad I had my own set. The bed is also uncomfortable. Those would be my only complaint.

This property is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. My friends and I were planning a weekend out of NYC, and this property was both affordable and in a great location, only about 30 minutes away from North Fork wine country. The living room had a huge couch we could all relax on, the kitchen was the perfect size for us, and the backyard had a very cute fire pit when you got tired of looking out on the sound. Beach access was a few blocks away but there were places to park right there and the water felt great in this heat.
Cheri was a terrific and communicative host. Overall, we loved this place and would love to come back at some point in the future!

Nice little house close to the beach
We enjoyed the private beach (has seaweed, but it's a clean beach and very empty - great for kids). The house is neat and well-furnished; a bit tight for our family of 6 but that's evident from the listing and the location made up for it.
We also enjoyed the long island scenery & area just 30 minutes drive to the east for day trips. Picked some excellent blueberries and blackberries on the farm.

Perfect Vacation Getaway!
We had a great experience! The house was clean and ready for us and the owner was very responsive and helpful. Grocery was minutes away. It was perfect for pur family!
