Well located, clean, spacious home from home.

The house was just perfect for our family to stay in. Close to the town and shops and only 15 min drive from giants causeway. Everything was there we needed and it was spotless. Would recommend any family to stay if visiting the causeway or portrush.

Fabulous time spent with family definite recommend this property

The house was very spacious very clean and comfortable had everything we needed. It was situated in a nice quiet area close to the town centre. There was free wi fi great when you have young kids to entertain. Tea coffee milk and bottle water were provided

The only negative was I had received an email to say someone would meet us at the house .. after waiting for 20 mins or so I phoned Karen to be told the key was in a coded box. We should have been told this.. quickly sorted not really a problem just good to know for future clients

Disappointing

was not aware someone lived there who clearly moves out to facilitate visitors- certain rooms and cupboards locked.. Not very clean and disgusting stuff in 2 drawers in freezer/fridge had bad smell ….Asked for more loo roll as upstairs bathroom ran out on first morning - sent message to contact and no answer. bed linens very worn and general feel of tired furnishings.

Location was fab House had everything you could need Bathroom was spotless Good value

The garden was cluttered with bricks n bins etc not somewhere you could sit The house had clearly been smoked in snd the smell was horrendous Also upon arrival of a vile smell that was bin. The bag had been emptied but the bin was disgusting.

great apartment, fantastic location

our stay in Fisherman’s Lodge could not go ahead as booked. Karen the host advised there had been an electrical fault, but the time I was able to pick up the message Karen had found us alternative accommodation. the new accommodation also on Booking.com Main Street Portrush is well laid out. Kitchen has cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. There are also thoughtful touches - books and a few toys. Apartment is in great location for Portrush for shops, restaurants and bars.

Too far out and too many personal possessions

The house was spotless, homely and very comfortable.

It was obviously someone’s home. We were always worried in case my 4 year old grandson broke something or spilt something on carpet.

Wonderful home away from home

Wonderfully clean and comfortable residential home, in the quietest of spots in Portstewart. Perfect for families! 10-15 minute walk into the town centre itself, or the nearest kids park! Particularly handy for keeping the car parked.

Superb

We spent a couple of days exploring the Antrim coast and stayed here with our three children. Lovely house, superbly finished. Welcoming atmosphere, all comforts included. Spotless clean. Quiet location in residential area.

this is a home not a rental!!!

where do I start. booked for our anniversary on nye. advertised as a fisherman’s lodge. was a semi detached house in a development a good bit from the beach etc. this is a man’s home with photos and canvases of him catching fish in every room, including the bathroom. we felt like we were intruders and felt very uncomfortable. this man has left his house for us to go into it. there was stuff in the fridge, freezer,a loaf opened. booked for 2 nights, left after one. I contacted the owner who didn’t even have the decency to respond. ruined bye and our wedding anniversary.

Great location, quite and close to all coastal amenities.

No instructions for turning on central heating but it wasn't cold so didn't bother contacting host.

Pleasant

The house was warm and comfortable, and spacious for the five of us.

We felt we were intruding in the property. As others have mentioned it was full (very full…) of the owner’s possessions, decorative/ornamental and very personal. We weren’t living in his house - we were living in his life.

Enjoyable stay

The house was spacious & beautiful & spotlessly clean. The TV had an Amazon firestick with access to every tv channel we could ask for. The back yard was a nice bonus.

Although we never met the owner the house is clearly his (beautiful) home & it is full of his personal possessions & photos etc. We hadn’t expected that & found it unsettling at first, as if we were trespassing! However once I checked that we weren’t actually sharing with him, we relaxed & by day 2 we forgot about all the personal stuff & enjoyed the beautiful house. The house was in a lovely small housing estate but was further out of town than I expected. Not walking distance to the town centre or beach.

A great stay, ticked every box!

This spacious home is well-maintained, and loved the novelty 'fisherman' theme throughout! The home had everything! 2 bathrooms/showers/bath, utility room with everything you need, large lounge with huge tv, spacious and very clean bedrooms and linen, and a large well-stocked kitchen! A very welcoming host, a real character, with many sea-tales to tell ! A highly recommended place to stay, great value for money, and I'm booking again asap!
