Good breakfast. Friendly staff but someone should have offered to .help me with the bags especially as they have no lift.
First of all, I don't know why it is called the Anchorage Inn because there is no sign with that name on it.
It is known as The Anchor because it is attached to the Anchor bar.
There is no lift. My husband recently had open heart surgery so I had to carry 2 suitcase up loads of stairs.
There seems to be key issues as twice I had to go back down the stairs to get another key because it didn't work.

The kingbed was very comfortable.
The delicious breakfast (with buffet and dish to order) and the dinner at the restaurant
The friendly staff
No problem to park the car close to the hotel
The room without a view was a bit dark but we didn't spend a long time during the day inside so it wasn't too embarrassing.

The location of the hotel was very good and very close to the promenade. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean and the bathroom provided the basic needs. Beds were a good size. Despite getting to the hotel by car, if we were to get there by public transport it would have been very accessible.
The walls were quite thin so it was a wee bit nosy whenever trying to go to sleep, although when booking we were fully aware that there is a pub beneath us. The room was basic. Staff were not always there at reception. No lift. A bad view from hotel bedroom window. No parking for cars.
