About this house rental
Located in Divide, this lovely house for $379 per night is a great choice for your next break. Basin Creek Lodge is a one-of-a-kind property in the heart of Southwest Montana, 5 miles south of Butte. This rustic and comfortable Montana log home is situated on 25 acres in a natural Montana setting. The house is perched atop a hill in the Basin Creek watershed, with 360 degrees of panoramic views. From every window you’ll see mountains, pine trees and aspens, and pastures. From the loft deck view the sparkling lights of nearby Butte. The city of Butte and surrounding southwest Montana offer a wide variety of recreational activities, but we bet you’ll want to spend plenty of time just sitting on the expansive deck, enjoying the view, listening to the birds and the wind in the quaking aspens, and soaking in the peace. The house is a quarter mile up a private drive from Basin Creek Road, on a dead-end dirt road. (You don't need 4WD in the summer, but the road can be a little bumpy). Explore the property’s rugged 25 acres or enjoy a game of horseshoes. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths with room to sleep 8 in bedrooms, or up to 12 when you utilize the sofabeds/rollaways in the downstairs family room. The spacious country kitchen comes well equipped with cookware and dishes and all the appliances and utensils you’ll need to cook for the gang. Town is just 5 miles away, where you can buy groceries or any other supplies and enjoy a variety of dining and attractions.

Five stars for the whole stay except the road up to the cabin. A bit much for a small car. The rain washed ruts were pretty deep.

Gorgeous location within just a few miles from town. Quiet with amazing views all around. The log cabin was updated with a grand deck, floors and bathrooms - came with everything needed. We loved it so much we extened our stay as we did not want to leave! My boys loved to explore around the area and it was close to mountain bike trails just down the road. Sits at the top of a hill, so need to take it easy on the drive up.

This home was perfect for four couples. It provided comfortable areas for us to be together, yet private rooms for alone time. We felt surrounded by nature because of the big and abundant windows. We found everything we needed to cook with and eat our meals. The huge dining room table was useful for more than just eating. The host checked in on us and was very accessible.

This property is ideal for anyone who needs to rest and reset. From morning coffee on the deck while watching wildlife to s'mores in the fire pit at night, we could not have asked for a better stay!

This cabin is conveniently located just south of Butte and in close proximity to those uses but at a distance where you can really enjoy the western Montana countryside and hiking areas. The views are incredible pure Montana and the house is spacious, modern and well equipped for your enjoyment. Thank you for such a wonderful venue.

This is such a beautiful property! We were a party of 6 adults and 1 kid and it was super comfortable for all of us. The home is very well appointed with all of the things you might need. Ellen was so responsive when I reached out. Perfect for a big group!

Place was nice and large. Was supposed to be 4 of us but due to medical issue , it was just two of us. Place large enough to handle a lot of people. It was warm a couple days and ac would have been nice. Also the frig needed a quick cleaning and I found an open bag on peanuts on the ledge by the stairs.
View from the porch was amazing and watching the elk almost everyday was just pure therapy. It was also only 5 minutes to butte and that also was a plus. I would stay there again but not when it is hot.

Great place for family in Butte
The property is amazing, quiet, and serene. We saw elk every day and night.
The only negative was we couldn’t find bedding for the roll away beds. We were utilizing all the beds with our family. We did not reach out to the property manager so it’s likely this could have been resolved with a phone call.

Quiet nights
Basin creek lodge was perfect for us. We had 6 family members, everyone was very happy, and had a great time checking out the property. We saw several deer and even a badger running around. Ellen is quick to respond with any questions and made ys fell very welcome.

This large log home was everything and then some. The views are spectacular and it was so much fun to see the wildlife. Very easy drive into town. Great place for family get together and Ellen is very responsive.

This was a great house! Loved the log cabin! Elk cows were seen off property but evidence was found on the property so we knew to be on the lookout. Everything was clean, clear instructions, miscellaneous needed items were there.

If I'm ever going to vacation in the Butte area again, I will definitely try and book this property again! Everything was absolutely fantastic! Very clean, large deck, beautiful decor, amazing views from every angle, comfortable beds, and fully equipped should you forget something. Even if you do, town is just a few minutes away. Plenty of parking, and easy access to the main floor and deck from there! We had only one small issue with a circuit breaker, and Ellen responded instantly on how to correct it, even though it was late at night! Much of our time there was spent on the massive, partially covered deck, enjoying the views, and an abundance of wildlife. It's hard to believe your so close to town. My entire group absolutely loved this place, and were sad to leave. Our primary goal was off road riding, and checking out some of the areas history. Both were done with ease. We all wish we would have booked a longer stay here, and if your considering this place for a vacation rental, you won't be disappointed. The pictures don't do it justice. It is marvelous! Quiet cabin in the flats
This was a great house! Loved the log cabin! Elk cows were seen off property but evidence was found on the property so we knew to be on the lookout. Everything was clean, clear instructions, miscellaneous needed items were there.

This was a great place for out extended family to stay together.
It was beautiful country side. And the house was nice. The beds were ok. The windows could have been cleaner. But overall it was nice. and I would recommend it!
