About this cabin rental
This old tobacco curing barn has been renovated into a PIRATES DEN cabin. It was the first of five cabins to be named for North Carolina schools. The purple and gold of East Carolina University are used to decorate along with pirate flags and other pirate memorabilia such as treasures like gold pieces of eight everywhere. Enjoy the quiet of the woods and relax on the porch, the cabin comes complete with linens, coffee, creamer, sugar and the dishes, glasses and flatware.

The Pirates' Den cabin was an affordable and cozy place to stay during our weekend trip to Kerr Lake, which is just a 10-minute drive away. Shirley was a great host and very quick to respond when we had questions. My partner and I enjoyed our stay, but we did have a couple complaints: We knew our cabin was on the property of a B&B, but we did not know that it's located in a trailer park. Some of our neighbors were…entertaining while we sat on the porch. There are also a LOT of bugs around, and I had to sweep the dirt and bee carcasses off the porch before we could use it. Most of the time, though, the Pirates' Den was really nice. Just make sure to pack bug spray.
