Beautiful state of the art kitchen opens to a cozy and relaxing sunroom with beautiful views of the Potomac River. Large deck off the sunroom gives way to private beach and pier. Enjoy beach games, smokeless fire-pit, fishing and crabbing while taking in the abundant wildlife. Boat ramp close by and Historic Piney Point Lighthouse is a beautiful one mile walk away.

Great spot really close to Northern VA. The house was perfect size and layout for our small crew. Cleanest house I have ever visited and everything was comfy. We swam, fished and had a fire in the fire pit. Hummingbirds were everywhere which was a fun surprise. We really enjoyed our stay. Even though it is close to its neighbors it was still a very quiet visit. Would come back again no doubt. Thanks!

Our family stayed in this home for a five day getaway. My husband began fishing within 30 minutes of our arrival. I was napping looking at the view before we even unpacked. The space is expertly decorated and was perfect for our family of five. The hosts are a kind and accommodating with sweet touches of hospitality. A great stay!

Nick and Julianne's home is quite lovely and immaculately clean! Our family truly enjoyed our stay. We're very fortunate to have found this piece of haven and felt so relaxed just watching the waves from the back yard. Our daughter celebrated her 2nd birthday here and she played in the sand for most of the day. Even till the end, she still did not want to leave. On top it all, the host were super accommodating and provided welcome treats along with answering our small inquiries. Thank you truly for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

What a pristine cottage on the Potomac! So peaceful, relaxing with beautiful views. Great kitchen and very comfortable beds. And a perfect location. Great walk to the Piney Point lighthouse. Highly recommend!

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Nick and Julianne’s house. The house is gorgeous (and very clean) and the view of the Potomac is beautiful.
From the dock we saw cownose rays, blue crab and ospreys. We took our small sailboat out and saw dolphins hunting for lunch! It was truly magical.
We were able to sail to Virginia few times, hung out on some deserted beaches and found some pretty sea glass.
The location is also great. You’re minutes from a historic lighthouse and museum and a short drive to Leonardtown and St. Mary’s City.
We can’t wait to come back!!

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend at your beautiful home. The interior is tastefully decorated, cozy, and welcoming. The kitchen is amazing. It’s a beautiful area. Being on the water was such a treat. Our stay was rejuvenating.

Our family loves this property! It was our third time saying at this house and it was just as perfect as the previous stays. We have two small children who love splashing in the water and collecting seashells. We visited the lighthouse and took short trips to the Calvert Marine Museum and Annmarie Sculpture Gardens-highly recommend all! Grateful for such wonderful hosts. Our oldest looks forward to the annual “crab chips” at the beach from the welcome basket! Hope to make another trip next year.

I don’t even know where to begin! Our stay from the moment we entered was fantastic. The home is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. Although we only were in the house to sleep, it was extremely comfortable and welcoming. Outside is just a dream! My family and I spent ENTIRE days out on the dock. They enjoyed swimming, paddle boarding, fishing and crabbing. The hosts were very responsive and were quick to answer any questions we had. We will definitely return!

As previous reviews mentioned, the picture does not match the actual interior. This is the best designed interior I have ever seen out of all the rentals I had even including some of the high end resorts. The owner has an eye for design, luxury, comfort and functionality. The powerful Wolf range is a huge plus for making great breakfast for kids. It is good for dinner too but we explored local restaurants. The yard is perfect for playing and relaxing. The landscaping kind of reminds me of California. The private beach and dock is great for the family. My son caught several fish.

We had a lovely stay in Piney Point! The house was wonderful and really met our needs. Our son attends SMCM and it is a 15 minute drive. We loved hanging out on the beach and walking to the lighthouse. A great weekend!

Out of all the places I’ve rented this is by far my favorite. The pictures of the property don’t to it justice. I would recommend this house to anybody it is beautiful. They’ve thought of everything to make the stay comfortable for you. The owners of are very friendly and help with anything you need! 10/10 recommend.

All I have to say is, "Wow!" This property is breathtaking. The kitchen is the most up-to-date and well-equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a vacation rental! We had a blast using the gas powered Wolf range to bake fresh cookies, perfectly saute veggies, and the griddle made delicious pancakes. I can't wait to come back and use the warming drawer to prove some bread or pastries! We stayed with two young children who spent the majority of their time in the sand and water or fishing on the dock. We were pleasantly surprised on Saturday night while sitting around the fire pit and noticed a Falcon 9 rocket out over the water that had taken off from Cape Canaveral, FL just 5 minutes earlier. That was so cool! We also rode our bikes to the Piney Point Lighthouse and had a wonderful private tour of the museum. The owners were very easy to reach and really accommodating. Definitely book this place!

Beautiful place on the wide Potomac.. we enjoyed our own private beach with fishing pier and perfect swimming hole. The added fire pit so close to the water was perfect.. All this beauty only steps from the house made it ao easy. The hime was beautiful and had everything we needed. This will be added to our list for second stays!!

This was our 2nd year renting this unit. The location is perfect and centralized for all of us living in MD and VA. Interior decor is like what you see in a magazine. The dock is spacious enough for 4-6 pax to sit/stand/fish. The house is clean and well maintained. Beds were comfy, kitchen is well stocked and the layout of the house is big enough for everybody to have their own 'space' to read, relax and just enjoy the waterfront view. The communication with property owner (Julianne & Nick) have always been great and they are sure to respond quickly with any questions. One recommendation for guests is to bring your own firewoods. Thank you Julianne and Nick for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a great time and have already made plans to come back again in Oct 2023!

Although the pictures of this property are amazing, they almost don't do it justice! This home is immaculate! You can tell that a lot of love and care went into creating this perfect little escape on the beach. We had a wonderful stay with our two little kids and their grandparents. The views could not have been better, and the cottage is spacious, clean, and just plain beautiful. We were so sad to leave and can't wait to go back someday! Nick and Julianne were easy to reach and left helpful reminders/instructions around the cottage about how to use things. They truly thought of everything--could not recommend this property more!!

House is very cute and updated. Really great for a quick get away and it was great having a private beach. We were able to fish and swim all day and star gazing at night was perfect.

We had a great stay at the Piney Point Beach Cottage. The house was clean and comfortable with a great view of the water. The kids enjoyed fishing and crabbing from the dock as well as kayaking and paddle boarding.

We visited this home for a long weekend with our 6 and 9 year old daughters. We loved everything about our visit. The home was clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the wall of windows looking out towards the river. Plenty of space inside and out for our family of 4. Would have been very comfortable even with 2 more family members. It was a quiet area not too far from restaurants and activities in Solomons and St. Mary’s City. Hosts were very helpful and responsive. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Loved the huge, well-supplied kitchen and the beach and dock right outside the door. Lots of board games for the kids when the weather wasn't cooperative.

Beautiful beach house located on the lower Potomac river. Just two hour drive from metro DC. The house is well maintained and was spotlessly clean everything you could possibly want was provided. We rented this home beacuse we have grown tired of the 5 or 6 hours of traffic required to reach Ocean city or VA Beach. The home has a sand gravel beach and the water is brackish. The swimming was fantastic and we spent lots of time in the water. We especially enjoyed the back deck and the beach with fire pit and andarondack chairs. We will defintly rent this house again.

Amazing property!!!
We loved everything about our stay. The cottage is so bright, comfy and cheerful. The hosts were very accommodating and obviously take much pride in their home. We have rented several properties in the area while visiting nearby family and this by far is our favorite. We hope it was the first of many more stays!

Getaway Perfection
This trip was a couples long weekend getaway for us. The communication with Nick and Julianne was very easy. Their responses were very prompt.
If I were to sum up Nick and Julianne and there home in one word it would be “detail”. Nothing was over looked in this home. The cleanest, most well kept home I have ever rented. (We rent homes a couple times a year).
The pictures do not do it justice. I felt like I had walked into my own home as soon as we came through the door. Quiet, peaceful setting. A great place to recharge!

If you have kids, I’d highly recommend the Calvert Maritime Museum which is about 25 minutes away (our toddler liked it so much we went back the next day too). As noted in my previous review, the beach can be a bit rocky so I’d recommend bringing water-appropriate footwear if you plan on being out there, especially with younger kids. Overall, great experience!

This house is fabulous and the hosts thought of everything. It was very clean and was decorated without being cluttered or sterile. The kitchen had nicer appliance than I have at home! The house is very well build with attention to detail - the ceiling fans, light switches, fabulous main bathroom, an ice machine, screened doors for optimal airflow, I could go on and on. The deck and outdoor seating looked new and it was very clean when we arrived. It was a quiet neighborhood. The fantastic view of the water, the singing birds and quiet lapping of the water created a relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were available to answer my questions about the area. This house was so clean and lovely that I think it will be the vacation home by which all others are measured. I didn't want to leave and I do hope to return.!

The pictures don’t do this house justice-kitchen, bathrooms, the view, amenities. Nothing is left to chance. The house for great relaxing or there is plenty activity from corn hole to the smokeless fire pit. Lots of places close by to kayak, hike and bike. The best VRBO I have stayed in anywhere.
