Our experience was wonderful from start to finish. The house met our family needs and comfort. The fenced in backyard was great for my granddaughter. Most noteworthy was the timely attention we received from our hosts.

My husband and I are from Houston Texas! Our trip to New York started In Harlem, we then drove to Hempstead and chose this property because of size and location and my husband grew up in Hempstead. We wanted a nice home in the vicinity, and this home had everything we needed! The owners communicated with me prior to, during and upon check out. If you are looking for a clean home with comfortable beds and a location that’s close to everything, book this home!! We also liked the fact that a Governor lived here too!

Amazing host and home!
Amazing host and home!
Everything from booking to adjusting the stay duration to arriving and leaving the home was excellent! To find such a gem near NYC was amazing. The house comes complete with secure doors, stocked kitchen with essentials, snacks, and drinks, instructions on these little yellow stickers that tell you very informative tidbits, etc. We anticipated more people staying with us but we ended up being 7 adults and an infant and everything was very comfortable. The only bit that wasn’t the best was the sofa bed downstairs, but a queen size air mattress is available, if needed. Overall, we had a great time and oh yeah, there’s a really awesome backyard, too! Thanks Andrew and wife for having us!

I rented this property during Memorial Day weekend for a wedding that was taking place in the area. The price was right, the location was perfect, and the house was incredibly spacious. As a testament to what a comfortable living situation this house offered us: it ended up pouring the entire weekend, ruining our beach plans, and we still had a fantastic time. The kitchen and it’s provided supplies were perfect for cooking up large meals for us all to enjoy together, the house was warmly decorated, what more! And to top it off, the house has a little bit of history behind it - a New York governor once lived here! One week out and we are all still raving about what a great weekend we had. This was my first VRBO experience, and I’d recommend it for get-togethers like ours.
