The staff, specifically Hilda, the receptionist were very attentive and helpful.
The kitchen staff were helpful with supplying tasty meals according to my preference.
The deluxe suite was just that, luxury
My room was luxurious and on the second floor (306). I found the place noisy, caused by staff members playing music loud in the late afternoon and until 0100 on a work night. These both were stopped when I complained, but this is anti-social behaviour. Consistent Islamic prayers broadcast at high volume from multiple venues until 2230 is a cultural burden one must bear and screaming children in the vicinity make up the difference in the afternoon. This spoiled the experience.

location
i have stayed at other places in Dodoma for around $15 to $20 a night and La Starnar was only slighlty better than those. I was definitely expected higher quality facilities for something that was 3.5 times the price.
