Nestled in Hitchcock, this charming house for $459 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Come get away at the beach with family and friends in this updated retreat in Galveston, Texas. Located only 2 blocks from the beach and below the SLP, you can have your toes in the sand in less than 5 minutes. Sit on one of the 3 decks and let the sounds of the surf melt away your stress. Details: 4 bedrooms; 2 of them masters (1 King with Twin; 1 King; 1 Queen; 2 bunkbeds) 4 bathrooms 3 living areas Game Room downstairs with separate entrance Outdoor oasis backyard 2 Balconies Rooftop Deck This beach retreat has hardwood floors, an enormous 5 star kitchen that is fully equipped with everything you will need including granite counter tops and tons of seating for your family or group. The house has 3 full bathrooms upstairs, one of which includes a tub. Downstairs there is another full bathroom that is perfect for rinsing all that sand off after a fun day at the beach. The house has 2 master bedrooms, a guest room with a queen size bed, and a kids room with an aquarium themed under the sea wall which includes 2 sets of bunk beds! There are also 2 additional futons that fold out to full size beds directly outside of the kids bunk room, as well as a fold out queen size sofa in the 3rd sitting area. Spend time with your friends and family in the backyard, which is designed for chilling and hanging out! With plenty of seating, accent globe lighting on a remote switch, a full sized bar, fans and accent lighting, it's perfect for evening hang outs or family get-togethers. Plus, build a fire in the fire pit and relax in the privacy of a fenced backyard. After the evening in the backyard, head upstairs to the rooftop deck and enjoy stargazing with a glass of wine while listening to the waves. Downtown Galveston and The Strand are just a 10 minute drive away. A grocery store, a liquor store, and Alex's seafood market and a brand new Dollar General are conveniently located 2 minutes down the road. It is only a short 10 minute drive to the Pleasure Pier and many many restaurants and shops along the seawall. This house is so close to everything you need to make your vacation one to remember. Other than the ac issue upon arrival and the fact that the beds were not very comfortable, we had a decent weekend vacation. Might be time to upgrade the mattresses..

This was a great place. They did a lot to make you feel welcome and they provided lots of little extras: lots of pans and dishes, games, books, sand toys, chairs, and wagon. The couches were brand new and very nice.
The kitchen was outstanding, with a huge island and lots of counter space for serving big group easily.
The difference that I noted came from the downstairs game room, which I believe used to have a futon, we were going to put a couple in there, but there was only 1 shortish couch. Everything else was great. I loved the outdoor area. We would have used it more, but the mosquitos were bad. One thing of note. It looks like you have bees nesting in the wall of the balcony area just outside the living room. Thanks again for the great place to have our family reunion.

We had an amazing time at the house. It was perfect for what we needed. We had a short walk to the beach, everyone had their own space, and there was plenty of comfy seating when we all hung out together. We will definitely stay here again!

This was a perfect place for our 3 families to meet up for a few days over spring break! The layout of both the inside and outside of the house was perfect for the adults and all our kiddos. Communication throughout the trip was great. Would definitely book again!

The house was perfect for our multi-generation family vacation. The kids loved the house. Plenty of rooms and space for everyone. There is a minor AC issue. However, the owner was quick to respond and sent out an AC technician the next day. Overall, it’s a great property for large families get together.

Do not recommend rental
We won’t stay here again. The host charged us a cleaning fee due to leaving the house smelling like “cigarettes” and we don’t even smoke. Even though I claimed that we don’t smoke, she still charged me the fee and sent me pictures of cigarettes that we did not even see when we were at the property. There should be some kind of trust with the guest but instead the host trusted the cleaning company.

Great home
The home was about a 5-7 minute walk to the beach. The beach was perfect! Quite and ready to put your stuff up and play. The house fit three families with littles. We didn’t use the downstairs space because it is not connected but we didn’t really need it either. The bathrooms are tiny but overall there was tons of living space.

This was a very nice experience. The family and I were very happy as soon as we walked through the door. The host's provided us with all we needed for a prefect stay. Even though we had a little towel situation because the previous people had broken the washer. The host stepped right in to fix it when contacted. I would love to visit this property again.

Rated it a 4 only bc the dishwasher was left with previous guests dirty very stinky dishes but the rest of the house was clean. Great game room for teens and a short walk to the beach. Great place and close to beach!
This is a great well maintained property. We had three families and the property was big enough that we did not feel crowded. The game room and back patio was very nice. Property is within walking distance to the beach. The hosts were very responsive and nice. We would definitely stay there again!

Let’s start with easy. I have stated at many properties over many years, Verbo, HomeAway and Airbnb. Hands down, this property Verbal Vibes is in FIRST PLACE for all the important reasons! The house is amazing! Totally upgraded and beautiful! More amenities than I could have imagined and crazy little attention to detail! The owners are the best! Communications at every step is fast and accurate, the two owners of this property really get it and really know how to go the extra mile, true business pros!!! No question me and my family will be going back again and again, BEST!!!

Awesome Property
Coastal Vibes is exactly as described. Our group consisted of 8 adults and 5 children (age range 3-1/2 years to 6 months) and we never felt cramped. This property is the most completely furnished house I have ever stayed in - from the kitchen to the pack-and-plays and high chairs to the outside games and toys. It is definitely a family-friendly property just a 5-minute walk (with toddlers) to the beach. The owners are quick to respond to any questions and provided holiday decorations and a “welcome bucket” as a personal touch. I can’t say enough good things about this property! We made some great family memories here.

It was too shot of a stay, but very relaxing. Location was ideal for the Lone Star Rally. Not too close with all the noise, but not too far from the event. Very nice setup for both friends and family and within walking distance to the beach.

It was spacious, and it could probably sleep more if you don't mind a couch. The kitchen was awesome with a big island to sit around. TVs in all rooms. Four full bathrooms were nice, too. The kids loved the game room! We might have stayed longer on the back porch and enjoyed the ambience of the lights and games, but the Texas-sized mosquitos were hungry! The loft area on the third story is a quaint hideaway for private tanning or sneaking a coffee break, but you can only see a slice of the ocean from there. There were way more positives than negatives. The only suggestion I would have for this property is to install a gate at the stairway for the littles. I had not expected to enter the home at the bottom of the stairs that are encased inside the home with the main flooring at the top landing. Of course, this is another thing that just added to the property feeling like a real home than a beach cabin. If I missed this in the description, my fault; but had I known, we would have brought a child gate to section it off. On to the beach now. I've lived in Texas nearly all my life and have always known Galveston to have gotten the short end of the stick where nice water is concerned. It's the armpit. BUT, the west side has always been known to be nicer. I must say the water was cleaner than I've ever seen...in fact, I could go pretty far out and still see my feet! Crazy! We caught so many little hermit crabs out there. The sand was clean, too. The walk to the beach is not bad at first, but hauling back and forth gets to you. Since you cannot park your vehicle on the beach nor near the entrance, renting a golf cart during your stay is highly recommended as was suggested on the site. I should have done it. Oh, well, live and learn. The likelihood of us returning to this particular location is very high.
