Quaint little apartment. Perfect for short stay especially if on Via Francigena

Clear and good communication with the owner
Lots of character - This apartment is a renovated cellar under a square. It gives off "medieval dungeon vibes" which we thought was cool.
Well equipped - it had a modern bathroom, some information on the town, a dolce gusto coffee maker, some breakfast beskuits, and a kitchen stocked well enough to prepare a meal.
Perfect for one night's stay.
Musky smell - there is no window besides the door so it lacks proper ventilation, but we slept with the outer doors open for fresh air and natural light
Noise - there seems to be a restaurant directly above which was very noisy early in the evening but later quieted down
Soft mattress - (personal preference) sinks abit if you are accustomed to a harder mattress but fine if you sleep on a softer one
There was no water in the fridge as the information indicated there would be but also not a deal breaker

- good equipment of the apartment, nice bathroom and kitchen
- communication with the host was good, all online, host had great instructions
- it's not an apartment but a converted basement - bad lighting, very dark everywhere
- mosquitoes everywhere, it was very unpleasant
- there is not a single window and so there was a smell and unpleasant air, you could ventilate only by opening the door but when you open the door there is a lot of noise from the street and because the apartment is on the ground floor on the street so it was not very pleasant
- unfortunately, because there was no window and the air was bad, we were not comfortable in this accommodation
- the mosquitoes were also a problem - we were bitten in the morning
- the apartment is on a busy street
