Twin Bear Cabin offers a cozy and charming retreat, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cabin is well-appointed, clean, and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Nestled in a peaceful setting, it provides a great balance of seclusion and convenience. We stayed while dropping off our sons at Western Carolina University and truly enjoyed the serene surroundings. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to a winter storm, which is the only reason for the 9 rating. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay, and we would love to return! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and scenic escape.
The steep hill leading to the cabin was a bit concerning with ice and snow since we didn’t have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. However, this wouldn’t have been an issue in good weather. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay, and we would love to return!

Had the place to ourselves, quiet, relatively close to WCU and pet friendly. Great view from front porch. Nice space in kitchen and sitting room as well as the porch - although a couple more rocking chairs would be nice.
Getting to the property was a little less than desired with curvy small roads and a very steep drive that needs maintenance- lots of deep potholes. Driveway for the property is also a little challenging with a couple of potholes a where is meets the road. Air conditioning seems to be controlled remotely and not at the descrestion of the tenet, no air conditioning upstairs except window units - it was comfortable but stuffy the entire time we were there. One of the recliner end of the sofa is not functioning smoothly, the string lights on the porch do not work, plenty of pillows but they are very flat. Appliances in the kitchen are usable but some are dirty/very old.
