Great stay in Bologna!
I’ve traveled to many countries and stayed in countless places, but staying at Francesco’s apartment in Bologna was truly one of my favorite experiences. As a solo female traveler, safety and peace of mind are always my top priorities when choosing accommodation, and this place felt exceptionally safe, comfortable, and welcoming.
Unbeatable Location
The location couldn't be better. It’s super close to both the city center and the main train station, which was a lifesaver since I didn't have to haul my heavy backpack onto any buses. Plus, there’s a great local restaurant right next door!
Thoughtful & Dedicated Host
Finding the apartment and checking in was completely seamless. Francesco was there waiting for me when I arrived and walked me through every single detail of the apartment, down to pointing out the provided shampoo. Even though he doesn't speak fluent English, he tried his absolute best to explain everything thoroughly to make sure I was completely comfortable. It’s so refreshing to see an owner who personally ensures their guests are well taken care of and informed. He clearly takes immense pride in his work!
Comfortable & Well-Appointed Room
The apartment layout features three bedrooms, two for the family and one dedicated guest room. You have total privacy throughout your stay; the family occasionally drops in to use their laundry or access storage, but over 4 days, I only ran into them once or twice and it didn't bother me at all. They live in an apartment in the same building, not on the same floor.
The guest room itself was spotless, bright, and very comfortable. Highlights included:
Spacious bed with good pillows.
Window shutters that block out all light, perfect for an amazing, dark night’s sleep.
Super clean, bright, well-lit bathroom
Work table and a generous closet.
Coffee machine in the bedroom (a true testament to how seriously Italians take their coffee!).
Highly recommend this place.
More of a building remark: I generally prefer taking the stairs anyway and don't care for elevators, which worked out fine because the building's elevator is quite tiny. If you have oversized luggage or suffer from severe claustrophobia, just keep in mind that you’ll need to walk up three flights of stairs!

Amazing host, very clean, close to main attractions 10 to 15 min walking. Close to train station as well. Definitely recommend.
Need more Clear instructions how to access building.

Francesco greeted and immediately made us feel welcome. Our room was very clean, comfortably warm and secure. Within a few metres from our doorstep, we had access to 2 restaurants and the Modern Art Museum of Bologna.

the location of the property is great. easy walking distance to city center and the room is very clean
The property was not accurately described in the booking. It is only a bedroom with its own private bath and does not have a balcony or terrace nor does it have laundry facilities on site for clients. The host then offer to wash our clothes for us and gave us one free day of parking. I suggested they update the listing to make it more accurate. There is also a hidden charge of 40€ for guest taxes that we were not aware of until after we booked.
