Very good location close to the parks and temples of Nara. From the café's terrace you can see the deer in the park.
Elegant and modern building with traditionnal Japanese details. The souvenir shop in the café offers nice authentic gifts.
Our room had a Japanese shower/bath combo, which was very comfortable.
Good breakfast.

We had a corner room overlooking the park and the Deere. The hotel is modern and clean. One of my favorites. The staff is super and helped with everything, getting our luggage on Yamato etc. would return here anytime. It’s near the pond, coffee, temples etc

Check in staff was a little nonchalant. For our two nights stay, we thought we could book breakfast at the hotel on arrival - booking.com website did not indicate room with breakfast option was available. Wanted to book breakfast for the next morning but staff said breakfast was sold out. He did not offer any suggestion on how we may get our breakfast and I thought it was fully sold out for the two mornings we were there. Luckily I asked about availability for the second morning and only then did he said it was available. And then mentioned that coffee and bread are available for ala carte order if we wanted a simple breakfast.
Also, he wasn’t very engaged when we asked him to help book a restaurant for dinner - just said can do online reservation. We then insisted that he help us call and book as we weren’t sure how to online in Japanese. He finally relented. He wasn’t rude or anything- just so disengaged and not welcoming of guests on arrival.
