So close to ocean it was almost scary due to an atmospheric river storm. I didn't want to return my condo. The restaurant next door was awesome with amazing service. Loved the bed and the ocean sounds at night. Jacuzzi was good enough. I really would like to keep this treasure to myself, but duty calls.
The parking was confusing. The lot was not labeled, and kinda ghetto. Lost service while searching, so have it saved before you arrive.

Location!!! Steps to the ocean - view of the ocean - fenced yard makes it easy to potty the dog- easy check in - clean - comfortable - near restaurants and stores - easy drive into San Francisco. We didn’t have time to use hot tub or firepit but wow! Nice amenities.

Great location and overall a spacious and comfortable living space. Great views! Kitchen was modestly equipped but worked for us.
Bathroom is curiously small and awkward given the spaciousness of the rest of the space. Also a bit noisy with a variety of pumps, blowers and other mechanical equipment running in the background.

The location was convenient to the bike trail and restaurants, etc.
When we notified the management about the smell, they moved us to another house for the final 2 nights. Jeremy was very helpful and we appreciate that he quickly resolved our problem.
The minute we entered, the strong chemical smell was overwhelmingly bad. It smelled like insect poison or some very caustic cleaning product. We tried airing things out and running all of the fans and air purifiers they had, (suggesting that this has been a problem before) but the nauseating odor gave us headaches, made our noses burn and was truly intolerable. We shut off the bedroom and opened all those windows, which mitigated the smell just enough to sleep the first night, but in the morning, the smell in the living area seemed even worse. Now that we've looked back at previous reviews, we see that this has been an on-going problem.
The apartment was also a bit quirky. The parking area looked like a junkyard. None of the lights on the steep stairway to the front door were working. Inside, several of the doors seemed to have been hung so they opened the wrong way and the light switches were behind the doors. The bathroom layout was especially odd and tiny. It would have been much nicer if they had incorporated the laundry closet area within the bathroom and so that there was only one door to enter the bathroom.
The quirkiness was tolerable. The smell was not.

Location, location, location! Beach & restaurant nearby. Hot tub was also a nice touch.
We couldn’t use the fire pit which should be advertised as it’s only allowed a few, specific months of the year. Someone the extra blankets had a funny smell too like they’ve been used/unwashed

Great location just steps from the beach and a restaurant! They were responsive with questions we had. Very comfortable and clean unit with lots of natural light.
They were helpful in cleaning up the mess from the raccoons getting into the trash. Would recommend keeping the trash elsewhere as we had safety issues for us and our dog while trying to get out the front door at night with the hungry raccoons. A light that you can turn on and off from inside the unit to see the stairs would be helpful too.

No forks, contacted Property Manager and didn’t get any response. Cleaning chemicals in the bedroom were a bit too strong. Had to open the windows to air it out. Hot Tub wasn’t not really private, located in open space in backyard.

This property is wonderful! Very clean, cute and well appointed. Comfy beds (even the pull out). Ocean view from the bedroom and front window/door. Great location!! Love the courtyard set up- perfect for people with pets. We had a fantastic stay here!

The unit was very close to the beach, which was great. Having the jacuzzi and fire pit was great, too.
Contact with the owners was not good. I sent messages asking about a possible early check-in and some other questions the norning of our check-in, but didn't receive a reply. Then once we checked in, the power went out in the kitchen while we were cooking dinner, so I needed immediate feedback on what to do, which didn't happen. I called the phone number given multiple times with no response. By the time we got a message back, we had already given up on the food and ordered pizza. We had to toss about $75 of food we had purchased at the farmers market.

The communication between client and property management prior to arrival was terrible. I emailed questions to multiple email addresses and received very late responses (and/or incorrect information). We were told that there was only a Keurig coffee maker on site, and arrived to find two drip coffee makers and an electric kettle. There were only three pieces of firewood at the fire pit and no kindling. I emailed a week prior to our arrival asking if we should bring firewood and received no response. Property did not disclose that it was a one flight walk up (not ADA compliant). No smoke alarm in the bedroom and no fire extinguisher on the property despite having a propane grill and fire pit.
There are 5 opening windows - 4 in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. Of the 4 in the bedroom, only two had window screens - the two facing the street NOT the ocean. The garbage was piled up over the garbage cans outside so there were many flies around the property, so opening screenless windows was not an option. The house smelled strongly of fresh paint the whole time - worse in the afternoon when the kitchenette gets warm. There were multiple areas of obvious water damage to walls and ceilings, and spots of mold around the ceiling. The two air purifiers on site had filters that were so packed with grime they did not work (until my husband cleaned them). The dishes were not clean and we had to wash everything before we used it. Oddly, there was also a woman’s purse under the minibar sink with ID, debit cards, and personal photographs… not sure what to make of that. Should I have called the police?
We chose this place because we had stayed at Landis many times and wanted to be in the same area. While we were not expecting the same experience, we were hoping for a better experience than we had.

location! clean, well stocked, comfortable bed, great location and privacy! the hot tub and fire pit were amazing!
the pullout bed did not work, in fact it got stuck and we notified property manager. We could not get any of the streaming programs on the tv to work. when we tried to add a profile it wanted a passcode and all other profiles were locked.

The ocean is a block away and you can see/hear it from the house.
Very, very strong smell of cleaning solvents. It was unbearable and we left the door open for most of the stay.
Washer and dryer combo unit was very difficult to figure out, and no instructions were left for renters to follow
Hot tub needs a new lid and better instructions.

1. Great location. Short walk to beach and trail. Quiet at night. Can hear ocean waves through open window.
2. Nice furnishings. Couch, loveseat and recliner very comfortable.

7. Enclosed yard is wonderful for dog.
8. Parking is great. You can see your vehicle from bedroom window. Being able to park two vehicles is a plus.

1. Hot tub too dirty to use. Once a month service is obviously not enough.
2. Strong solvent like smell hits you when you walk in front door. Seemed to get worse as days went by. There was an air purifier but the filter was so dirty, it didn’t help much.
3. Cigarette butts in fire pit are gross.
4. No lights in yard area or in hot tub area. Be careful after dark.
5. Stair handrail needs to be sanded to avoid splinters. Ouch!
6. Some windows have no screens so can’t open to let cool air in.
7. Large window/ wall in kitchen/ dining area have no blinds. Sun is blinding in area around 3pm. Construction crew next door have clear view of everything you do in there. At night who knows whose watching you.

easy parking, easy to get keys. The bed is comfortable.
Location very misleading. The pin on the map shows its on the beach, but really its behind a restaurant and you cannot see the ocean. (You are not even along the coast) We thought it was suspicious that this "sea view" is not shown in the pictures and that there are a lot of pictures of what is in the drawers. The owners need to be up-front about this so people know what to expect.
The restaurant you are behind is very loud (constantly running generator) and makes it impossible to leave the windows open. This was not disclosed. The restaurant also smells like fried food all day that wafts into the house.
There were only two towels for the entire rental. Turns out there was an entire load of dirty laundry in the washer/dryer (that was still wet!) Quite gross.
There were no batteries in the TV remote, so we couldn't even use it.
The fire pit has no clear way to start it, even though it is lit in the pictures.
No screens in half of the windows even though they have screen spots. Made it hard to keep windows open without bugs getting in.
There were no trash bags in the trash can. (And none we could find of the proper size).
No greeting paper on how to use the rental once we entered.
Overall, I wish I stayed somewhere else.

Location was great! You're not on the beach, but you may as well not be. I wouldn't want to see people walking by my window. This was secluded, but you can still see the ocean, and it only took 2 minutes to walk to it. Miramar Restaurant was right across the street, and their food was excellent.
There's a fantastic little grocery store just a mile up highway 1. I can't remember the name, but it was easy to find. Had everything you needed for a romantic stay and play evening. Charcuterie fixin's, roasted sandwiches, artisan bread, wine.
They have ceiling connections for what looks like a projector set up, but it's not complete. I did the same in an old house of mine. If they plan to do this in the future, and move the TV from the living room to the bedroom, then that would be amazing. I've never stayed at a place with a projector setup. That would be cool.
I love the recessed crown molding with lighting accents! It's exactly what I did at my old house. Super fun movie room feel!
Overall, amazing place! Very clean!
Hot tub needed cleaning, but it was fine. Couldn't use the fire pit. There should be a TV in the bedroom, but I think that's their eventual plan.
Add that projector! :-)
