Very nice and spacious apartment!

It was very clean and spacious.

It could have used some pictures on the walls. Also, a newer type of coffee maker is needed, since there is no electric coffee maker.

Comfortable stay in the heart of Florence

Amazing location, big and spacious apartment with private bathroom. Roberto was happy to meet us, show us the apartment and give us the keys. The apartment was clean and there was a kitchen area, a dining area and a lounge. The bedroom was a bit small, but bed was soft and comfortable.

It was a 7-night stay, so it would have been nice if the apartment was cleaned halfway through the stay. Wifi was patchy in the bedroom. The windows also need soundproofing as there was a lot of noise from outside until very late and we were there in October!

4 / 10

Old apartment lacking amenities; host completely changed from nice at beginning to rude at the end.

Good location and within walking distance of city center, train center, restaurants, and attractions.

Apartment is old and lacks modern amenities. It had steep old stairs and no lift/elevator. Hall light turns off after a few minutes, dark and hard to find key hole for door to apartment. No paper towel. Only liquid soap, no shampoo, body wash, or lotion. Shower is tiny; I kept bumming into the glass door. Roberto was very nice, responsive, and accommodating before and a couple days after our arrival. However, his service slipped dramatically the day before and day of our departure. The night before our last day, I provided him a time window for our check out the next day and asked him to meet us at the apartment for check out, which he had agreed to earlier. No response. Then on the morning of our departure, I texted him 4 times, called 3 times and even left a voice message. No response until after we had to leave for Florence train station. I left the apartment key and the city tax payment in euro cash inside the apartment before leaving. He came to the apartment after we had left, sent 2 short texts, then called me. I said I had tried to reach him multiple times. He must not have liked what I said because he said he came but we were not there when we should have been, then said bye and hung up. I tried calling him back twice, but he did not pick up. We exchanged a couple more texts afterward, but his tone was rude and completely different from day one. I got the impression that once he got the balance of the money (city tax), we were no longer his customers, and he didn't care anymore. It's a complete surprise and disappointment to me and completely ruined my impression of him and of Sant'Anna Apartments. Without malice or anger, I write this review so that other potential renters will be advised before considering renting this apartment and experience what I went through.
