The building is older, but it’s clear the owner is making an effort to keep it welcoming and appealing with thoughtful personal touches, such as an aromatherapy diffuser in the lobby, a complimentary drink hour, and updated wallpaper. The rooms were slightly larger than those at some of the other hotels we stayed at.
The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of sandwiches, pastries, and cereals, and the green smoothie was a particularly nice addition. The staff were attentive and helpful, especially when they assisted me with the paperwork to ship my suitcase.
The bathroom fixtures are older but were clean and worked well. The hotel is about a 10–15 minute walk from the train station. Overall, a comfortable stay with thoughtful touches and friendly service
The steep stairs to enter the hotel may be challenging for those with mobility limitations.
