Loved the house and property. It's an old house, floors are creaky but so charming and peaceful. Only wish the bathroom upstairs with tub and shower was a little more updated but great place and great owners!

This place is so cool and enjoyed our visit. But it is hard to find. Found out other family member stayed at this house. Small world. Has some challenges but we figured it out.

Plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 children. Very nice living areas, kitchen, and yard. The bedrooms were comfortable with nice lighting, places to set personal items/closets/nightstands/extra blankets. The basement had pool and a couple other games the kids enjoyed along with washer/dryer. It was a nice mix of vintage/modern. It’s 1.5 baths which are good, just a constant drip from the upstairs bathtub faucet and the downstairs toilet is older but other than that, quaint and charming place with great tree lines for privacy and we would go back.

Great house and a perfect location! Minutes away from convention center. Added bonus being super close to a water park to help with the summer heat! Will stay here again when visiting.

Great old house in a safe, convenient neighborhood. We enjoyed our visit, especially the pool table in the basement. The house needs an overall deep cleaning (random ants throughout the house, water in the basement after rain, carpets and floors could use some cleaning) but that aside it was exactly as pictured and we’d stay again.

This was a great home for our short family vacation. It's near O'Hare and the El. The house was huge and well stocked, including coffee and creamers! We used one of the barbecue grills for steaks one evening. There were a ton of games to choose from. The property contact was great, responding to questions immediately. Would stay there again.

Amazing place to stay, lots of room and very close to the airport. We were in town for a wedding in Schaumburg and the rest of the extended family stayed at a hotel. So this house became the hang out the day before and after the wedding. Lots of space and the yard is great (we even brought cornhole boards for the cousin tournament). With 5 of us staying at the house it was so much nicer and much more room than staying at a hotel. Would definitely stay again when we come back out to visit the family.

Beautiful house, great for a family or group. Plenty of room and very comfortable. Despite it being on a busy street, it feels very private and quiet. Big yard with fire pit and grill. Nice neighborhood and close to grocery, restaurants, etc. We stayed here for an NU graduation—about 30 mins from campus.

Very pleased with how comfortable this was for 8 people. Even though I knew the square footage, I wondered how in each others' way we'd be but we weren't! The drive to Rosemont Convention Center was simple and the location also allowed us to try out some other food centers easily.

The location was great and the house was amazing. Overall we had a great stay. I will say that having some basic pantry items like salt and pepper would have been nice. Also there are a few leaky faucets that need to be fixed. The coffee bar upstairs was great touch. Would definitely stay there again.

The house was perfect for us, and my kids loved the pool table.

We loved the beautiful hardwoods, comfortable beds, and big kitchen! The hosts were very responsive and we appreciated their help. Our kids loved the basement pool table and games! The adults liked gathering in the kitchen or sitting rooms to chat. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!

After visiting Schaumburg last year we found hotel and travel expensive and wanted to stay somewhere more like home. Your house is well appointed with conveyances, though some outlets are light switch driven which caused some charging issues. The kitchen is full but some tools were a challenge to find. Overall I would recommend if on a business stay.

We had a beloved family member turning 100 (!) and Shannon’s place was perfect as it was near the airport, near our event, and had a lot of room to spread out and enjoy the house’s amenities. Communication was straightforward and prompt.

Its such a cute house. We loved the extra coffee station upstairs and all the room to spread out. It was perfect for my staff in town for a cheer competition. We will be back.

Very close to the train station, plenty of stuff to do. We had a blast up here in the city. We will definitely be back in the future. Logan, Kristin, Skylar and clay

Shannon and her husband are great hosts. They are quick to reply to emails and also are very quick to text. They were concerned about the pathways and steps being icy since it snowed during my stay and they immediately asked to come salt and did it in a timely manner. The house is just as describe though it is way better than the pictures. The driveway is huge and we did not hear any noise whatsoever even though the house is on main streets. I and my invitees were very pleased with the warm, comfortable, and spacious house. Loved the decor, pool table, and skeeball. Thank you Shannon and hubby!

If you're looking to rent this property, you have presumably read other reviews. So you know that the floors in this house make a lot of noise. They do. This house was built in 1904. But once we got used to it, it wasn't an issue and our kids slept right through us creaking around. You've also read that the house sits on a busy intersection. Like *the busiest*. Think 2 lanes each direction at each intersection, and this house sits exactly at an intersection. Cars race by at probably 45-50 miles an hour. Buuuuuut, (1) the bedrooms set up for kids are in the back of the house and (2) the noise actually was like white noise and despite me being an extraordinarily light sleeper, I slept so so so well in this house. The beds are VERY comfortable. So now we're past those 2 annoying things, I am still giving this an overall 5 star rating. The house itself is delightful. There are 3 separate sitting room areas and our kids (ages 9, 9 and 7) and their 5 and 2 year old cousins who visited had such fun exploring and playing. There is a large dining room table and a very large extendable kitchen table in a GORGEOUS kitchen. The kitchen is decently well stocked but don't expect to find salt or oil. There are tons of plates and glasses and the fridge is enormous. There is a deck off a bedroom upstairs and then a huge deck - with gate - off one of the living room spaces. The backyard, which is fully fenced, is a kids' delight. So much room and in the summertime, I could see us happily sitting around one of the 2 fire spots or using one of the 2 grills. Seriously, a summer house! Plenty of parking for 4-5 cars so having friends or family over at this house is easy. And we were a 1 minute drive / 5 minute walk to a nearby forest preserve, which we explored. With the 2 known "issues" mentioned, we would definitely rent this place again. It took us 11 minutes to get there from the airport after a long travel day and we were so centrally located to visit all the family we have in the area.

We through enjoyed the house. It is absolutely beautiful! Roomie enough to accommodate a large family. Hosts are excellent with the little details. We were blown away with the coffee bar & the laundry baskets. And stocked with flavored syrups. Couldn't ask for any better hosts!

Our family of 6 LOVED this house! I’m from this area, so I wanted a place between the city & the suburbs I’m from. This location is perfect! It’s on the corner of 2 main roads, but doesn’t feel like it at all. Very quiet, safe, and convenient. There’s a Jewel about 5 min away. We ate at the Sugar Bowl a few min away & it was delicious. We took the train to the city - the train station is also a few min away. My kids loved the pool table in the basement! We were all so comfortable in this house & it’s decorated really cute w lots of personal touches. Older houses have their quirks, but we absolutely loved staying here!! We hope to stay here again next time we’re in Chicago!

The house is lovely, spacious and well appointed. We only used one of the 4 bedrooms, but our bed was luxuriously comfortable. The house was only a short drive to my son's house in Arlington Heights. We were here for a week and loved having a kitchen and dining room. Shannon is very responsive and brought over a large pasta pot, vegetable peeler and other utensils. She is working to fully stock the kitchen with everything one might need. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The interior was really clean and had great space for relaxing. The beds were super comfortable and check in/out was really easy and the owner was helpful with questions. On the down side…we are home cooks and the kitchen was a selling point on the listing, it’s beautiful, but isn’t as well stocked as we had expected. For example, there wasn’t a big pot to cook pasta and there’s only just enough silverware. We also struggled to get the oven to turn on or indicate when it had reached temperature. Overall, minor things for our stay.
