About this house rental
Nestled in Halifax Estates, this lovely house for $175 per night is a great choice for your next break. Relax, Relax, Relax in our 1930's beachside cottage with intercoastal waterway views. The home is a short two block walk to the beach and directly across the street from the intercoastal waterway. You can sit and rock on the front porch while watching boats go by, dolphins swim and some of the most beautiful sunsets. We are also walking distance to several restaurants, bars, ice cream, mini golf and fishing pier. If staying home is your speed, there is a full, modern kitchen and an outdoor gas grill for use. We also offer a beach cart, beach chairs, a cooler if needed (please ask owners upon arrival), beach towels, boogie boards, games, pack and play, high chair, booster seats and anything else you may need (we are right next door to accommodate!). The interior boasts beautiful, original hardwood floors and cypress walls in the living room. The home has been freshly painted and updated with new furnishings. There is a new washer and dryer for your use as well. Relax in our rare piece of Florida history. ***Note** - There are stairs to gain access to the back of the home and a few stairs to access the front of the home. Once in the home, there are no stairs...home itself is on one level. Guests are also required to sign a contract / waiver prior to check-in.

The house was exactly as advertised. Clean, cozy, and located within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. Jeanette was a fantastic host as well. Very prompt and thoughtful communication, e.g., we had locked ourselves out on our way to the beach, let Jeanette know, and the door was open within 30 minutes. Great value! Highly recommend.

My friend and I decided to do a quick getaway and selected this location, which was only a little over an hour's drive away. We enjoyed the A/C (it was so hot outside), and the kitchen was very nicely appointed. The shower had great water pressure, and there were plenty of basic supplies on hand (spices, oil, TP, etc.).
It was also very nice to be able to park in the driveway.
We didn't even visit the beach (although we could have because it was just a short walk away). We were there to knit and enjoy our girl time. It was a great getaway. We would both return.
If walking up steps is difficult for you, it's not a good property to rent because there are several steps to go up to reach the living space. Fortunately that wasn't an issue for us. If it isn't for you, either, I highly recommend the place.

My husband, sister and I needed a place to stay last minute for my father-in-law's funeral. So not the happiest occasion but Jeanette was such a pleasure to work with it made everything less stressful. She was very responsive and extremely helpful. The house is even cuter in person. It is very clean and in the perfect location.

Our family spent our spring break down in Daytona from North Carolina. Jeannette was super responsive ahead of our trip relating to some questions I had about whether our most preferred attractions in the area had sustained any hurricane damage.
The house was immaculate and smelled SO good. It was centrally located to everything we wanted to do and because we drove and had a car, getting around was easy. I'm not sure how accessible city transit would have been for someone coming by plane, so I can't speak to that, but Jeannette would definitely answer them promptly and thoroughly.
The house was well stocked with all the toiletries we needed, including a great variety of coffee, which I enjoyed each morning on the porch along with a gorgeous view of the bay. The beach was just a short walk across the main strip--there was a caddy and some beach supplies provided by the host, including sunscreen, beach towels, a surf board, and some other things which we didn't end up using.
I was pleased with how quiet the neighborhood was at night considering the central location. In case of rain, or if you need a little break, there's a good selection of family board games and tvs in each room.
There was a nice fire pit area for guest use, but unfortunately at the time of our visit, there was a burn ban in place by the city. For any meals we had in, the kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes and cookware we needed, and all the appliances were up to date and worked well.
Outside of the home, we visited the speedway for an all inclusive tour of the track and the Nascar museum, which my son and husband both enjoyed very much. We highly recommend heading down to the boardwalk, there are great shops and restaurants, and the atmosphere on the beach was absolutely perfect when we went. We also went down to the other end of the island to Daytona Parasailing and parasailed as a family for the first time. If you don't do anything else in Daytona, you MUST fit that into your agenda. Lastly, we went to the water park at Daytona Lagoon and had a BLAST. By the time the water park closed at 6, we were too worn out to do the fun park which had attractions like an arcade, go karts, putt putt, and laser tag. The couple of other things we intended to do Sunday were closed because of the Easter holiday, so that was just a planning oversight on our part.
10 out of 10 would recommend staying here if you're in Daytona with the family.

Can't say enough about this location. So clean and vast number of amenities. Short walk to beach and coffee shop. Owners were so nice and shared great tips on restaurants, fishing and beach gear. Would definitely book again.

Single female and was concerned about safety as i would have been by myself (in town for a wedding). This location was perfect and it made me feel better knowing the owners were right next door. Property was clean and quaint and it is a plus that Starbucks is walking distance in the mornings! Would stay here again

Yes, my partner and I had yet another wonderful stay at the cottage house. Built in 1930, it has been well maintained with plenty of wood finishes. . We especially enjoyed walking a short distance and having dinner at “ Down under”

The house is very lovely and beach-themed, conveniently located close to the beach and Dunlawton Ave (there is also a Starbuck's two buildings down, a convenient walk if you are a coffee lover!) We didn't spend much time on the porch because of the heat (hopefully we can come back when it is cooler), but it was nice to sit in the living room and look out to see the river across the street. Location is very convenient with nice views of the Halifax river. If I'm nitpicking, only downside is proximity to a busy intersection that can get a little noisy at certain times of the day. But overall, the owners were great and we were very happy with our stay!

Lovely space, and tons of amenities. The house is clean, comfy and cozy, and we were able to relax and enjoy our time here for the long weekend. It was everything that we hoped for, and more!!! We are already looking forward to when we get to stay here again! With the owners right next door, it would have been easy to have any problem fixed, but we did not need anything.
