The communal swimming pool offers a refreshing way to cool off.
The small village of Castelmuzio is an excellent base from which to explore the picturesque surroundings. Its convenient location is ideal for excursions into the beautiful Val d’Orcia and to well-known towns such as Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d’Orcia, Sinalunga and Montepulciano. Lake Trasimeno and the region’s various nature reserves also make for worthwhile day trips. In every direction, you’ll find historic villages, excellent cuisine and stunning landscapes.

We had a great near two week stay at this gem of an apartment in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The apartment is very spacious and spotlessly clean. You have the use of the terrace to enjoy spectacular sunsets or retreat into the shade and the use of the large pool for a cool down when things get a little too hot. It's location is ideal and means you're never more than a short scenic drive to the beautiful towns and villages such as Pienza and San Quirico D'Orcia and Montepulciano or equally scenic but slightly longer drives to Arrezo, Cortona and Siena. And yes we did them all. We would also highly recommend wine tasting with Giulia at the beautiful Tenuta Sanoner vineyard and beer tasting at the fabulous Saragiolino brewery. I think we will be back!
