About this cabin rental
Cozy authentic log cabin, with front porch for relaxing and visiting. We are a no animals allowed property. Located on highway 18 on the edge of town, but not in the woods. There is a loft bed accessed by stairs above the kitchenette, with a queen size bed. Since it is a loft, the ceiling is low and space is limited, but comfy. The stairs to the loft are somewhat steep, but manageable with a little care. Couch pulls out for additional bed, love seat and tv on the main floor with YouTube Tv & Roku box for movie watching. There is also WiFi for your enjoyment. Full sized refrigerator, table & chairs, microwave, basic dishes, and Kerig coffee maker with assorted coffees. There is not a stove. We have an electric frying pan and toaster oven available. Bathroom with shower, towels and basic toiletries. Small patio on the back with high table and chairs, with a privacy fence. Bonfire area with two Adirondack chairs. This is a NO animals allowed property and No smoking/vaping allowed inside any buildings. Contractor reservations need prior approval with host.

Great place to stay; very clean, comfortable, and no elaborate cleanup required at the end of the stay (leave used bed unmade and put used towels in the hamper).It was too hot to walk around outside for me but the backyard was so beautiful, like a park.

I rarely if ever will write a negative review but I feel as though I should share my latest experience which would have been different if the property listing wouldn't have been misleading in its description. The listing stated that the cabin was located on the edge of town which in fact it was but it's located on a main highway with heavy truck traffic with trucks applying loud noise braking devices. I believe the cabin was used as a model for a cabin sales company at one time with an adjacent cabin once serving as the office. I don't have any issues with this other than the lack of privacy. The bathroom was utilized as a utilities closet subsequently limiting the area and making the conditions very cramped. Finally, where were the adults suppose to sleep? The loft stairs were fine if you're 5' tall and 100 pounds which we aren't. Being 6' tall and 200 pounds wasn't pleasant negotiating the stairs. Also, there was only a mattress on the floor of the loft. I ended up sleeping on the hideaway bed which I'll need to visit a Chiro for a few weeks to get my back into its normal position again. I wouldn't stay or recommend staying at this property until they address the sleeping conditions.
Another thing, both doors need to be rehung as they're not sealed and they didn't appear to be very secure.
