Peaceful, yet centrally-located, this beautifully appointed 900 sq ft studio is perfectly located for kayaking, paddle boarding, windsurfing, or quietly relaxing on your own private sandy beach. If you prefer bigger waves, the ocean is minutes away with plenty of free parking. The Outer Banks is home to several national parks with hiking and biking trails for the nature lover. There are also a number of golf courses to choose from, a nearby waterpark, and of course plenty of restaurants.

Loved every second we spent here. Beautiful views all around and such kind hosts. Terri & Doug were always giving recommendations and were interested to hear where we went & what we enjoyed. Very clean and comfortable stay, just like the pictures. We enjoyed taking advantage of the waterfront property for swimming in the sound and watching sunrise. If you're thinking about staying here, just book it now!

This was the most immaculately clean and inviting VRBO I have ever been to. Stunning views of the Sound, a free kayak that Doug thankfully wrangled down to the water for me... I had a very relaxing stay at their place and appreciated the tranquility of their beautiful property. There is no TV so bring your books and games! Hosts are phenomenal.

Sandy Acre is a great location to relax - close enough to the attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas.
Terri and Doug are fantastic hosts and their guest spot is beautiful and spotless. We didn’t have time to partake in the kayaking but that would have been a lot of fun - the sound was peaceful and calm.
I would highly recommend staying here for a quiet yet convenient stay near the sites on the Outer Banks

The property is beautiful. There was a basket of treats when we arrived, kind bars, apples, etc. There was a book that you can leave recommendations in for the next guest. The inside of the unit is better than the pictures suggest. Terri and Doug were very welcoming and friendly. There are kayaks and paddle boards to use, our stay was short so we did not get a chance to use them. We would stay here again.

My husband and I recently stayed here. I have to say it was the cutest place and so clean! We loved all the amenities (kitchenette and backyard) and getting to sit on the private dock in the evening and watch the colors from the sunset. We also enjoyed using the kayaks one evening. Such a convenient location to the beach! We had a wonderful time and hope to come back!

A beautiful little hideaway, very private but close to everything! The studio is amazing. I felt like we were living in Martha Stewarts guest house. Nicer than the online pictures. The décor is lovely, and the attention to detail is like nothing I have seen in any other rental. Everything you could possibly want is there - kitchen items, games, cards, picnic basket with deposable dishes and cups, books, high end shampoos, beach toys, and the list goes on. The view is spectacular, the grounds are out of a magazine, and the place is crazy clean. Terri, the host was super friendly and accessible if we needed her. We will surely be returning.

We were looking for a stress free place to visit our daughter and this was perfect. Also the friendly playful dogs were an unexpected bonus.

This is such a lovely place. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the dock while overlooking the sound. It was peaceful and serene. Terri was such a gracious host…readily available but never intrusive! Also enjoyed exploring the Outer Banks which was close and easily accessible. The perfect getaway!

Fantastisch verblijf
Het verblijf is een bijzondere ervaring. Ruime kamer, mooi uitzicht, prima locatie. Op 15 minuten rijden van golfbanen en strand. Mochten gebruik maken van de kano’s. Terry en haar man zijn zeer behulpzaam. Dit verblijf kunnen wij zeer aanbevelen.

It was an amazing place. The unit was even better than the pictures. There is a dock that we spent the day reading, talking and enjoying the view. Very peaceful. Terri and Doug were great hosts. Thank you for a such a great place for us to stay!

We had a wonderful stay on the outer banks. Terri’s place is all the superlatives….cleanest, most beautiful, quietest, most comfortable, and most of all best hostess.
We have stayed in many rentals and this is by far the best!
