About this cabin rental
Nestled in Maggie Valley, this charming cabin for $291 per night is a great choice for your next break. Location is key when you want to get away to a mountain retreat! Southern facing and situated on a completely private lot, High Creek Cabin provides a relaxing retreat and more! When you first step out of the car, you hear rushing water sounds of the beautiful hidden creek just next to our property, and you will take in the majestic views of our mountains at nearly 4400 ft. high. We are private, but not isolated, with easy access on paved roads allowing year-round rentability! It's only 3 miles down the mountain (on Fie Top Rd) into Maggie Valley, 2 miles up our road to Cataloochee Ski Area and Horse Ranch, 15 minutes to charming Waynesville, 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 25 minutes to Cherokee, and 45 minutes to Asheville! Our beautiful home boasts a large open living area with 30’ ceilings, a wall of windows that offer abundant light and views, a stone fireplace with remote gas logs and all hardwood floors on the first level. You are greeted upon arrival by a large screened in porch with dining table, an outdoor gas grill, a corn hole set and rocking chairs overlooking a mountain top view. There is a Master Suite on the 1st floor equipped with a King bed and adjoining full bath. The 2nd bedroom on the first floor also has a King bed with full bathroom located just outside it's door. The second floor Suite has two (2) Twin-over-Full Bunkbeds with a dedicated full bathroom. The loft also has a Queen pull out sofa bed, allowing our cabin to sleep up to 12 people. The carpeted loft overlooking the living room is filled with entertainment for all! The area includes a foosball table, cocktail arcade with 110 classic video games (Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Tetris, etc.) and a large TV equipped with DVD player and movies. You will find a Satellite TV in every room (5 total), UNLIMITED WiFi internet*** , a well supplied kitchen, new linens & towels, games, books, and movies. We have a fully equipped laundry room that includes a sink and front load washer and dryer. Escape to our private fenced backyard to enjoy the firepit, or simply relax in our rocking chairs while listening to the sounds of the hidden creek. If you're feeling adventurous, continue through the the gate and explore the hiking trail that follows the creek. This is also a DOG FRIENDLY home complete with a doggie door leading to the fenced-in backyard. We have dog bowls, towels and pick up baggies to make your vacation as easy as possible! Please note there is a one-time pet fee to cover additional cleaning required. Additionally, the property has DOG BREED restrictions. Please contact us for the comprehensive list. Lastly, OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS will find hiking trails, fishing, rafting, skiing, shopping and nearby golf courses. Or you can simply take Mulligan's trail, just off our driveway, and hike up to the horse pastures and top of the mountain whenever you choose! There are also several local Breweries and a Distillery located within a few miles of the property. We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean. I do agree with the other comments about the trash. It is quite far to travel to drive the trash to the dumping center, but I understand there is no alternative. The only negative thing I do have to say is the upstairs bedroom has no window treatments. The sun is shining into the room right at sunrise. Not the best when you are looking to sleep in on vacation. Outside of that we really loved the cabin and the location.

Amazing property with beautiful views in many different areas. Multiple porches to sit and enjoy the view or to spend time relaxing with family. Very cozy cabin with everything we could need. Great location and close to all the great restaurants and places to visit. Family did not want to leave!

Cabin was perfect for our family gathering. Plenty to keep the kids entertained inside and outside of the cabin. Trails were fun to explore. Location was secluded yet conveniently close to town. Cabin was well stocked with linens, various toiletries, and all types of kitchen/cooking necessities. Cabin was thoroughly cleaned. Pets are allowed yet there were no signs of hair/fur anywhere. Check-in/out was seamlessly done virtually. Owner was responsive to all of our inquiries. I would certainly recommend this cabin for anyone with kids.

A beautiful home in a private and peaceful location. Fully stocked kitchen and a fenced in backyard for the furry kids. The screened in porch was so relaxing in the morning with that first cup of coffee. Highly recommend!

My family and our dog very much enjoyed our stay. The cabin is beautiful! They provide a very detailed book of the area which helped to plan some of our activities. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make meals. After a day of hiking it was nice to come back play games and watch movies, all of which were provided. Falling asleep was also a treat as the beds are all super comfortable. We look forward to coming back in the future.

The house was wonderful for our family mountain weekend! The kids loved the upstairs game room and bunkbeds. All of the beds were very comfortable! The fenced yard was great for the dog and she loved all the provided dog supplies. There are trails on the property that were fun to explore.
Our only big complaint was the lack of trash service. Having to drive your trash down the mountain at the end of the trip made check out more difficult and was an inconvenience. Plan ahead to take a bag or two if you are going to town so it does not accumulate! I would recommend the owners consider including trash service in the rental fee.

This ‘cabin’ is spacious, yet cozy, with beautiful views of the mountains from both inside and outside! It is supplied with everything you could possibly need for a carefree time away, including common needs for your furry family members. The fenced in backyard is perfect for small children and pets with plenty of seating to enjoy the fresh mountain air. The path that leads to the creek is well marked with steps part of the way. There are even walking sticks available! Just the right challenge for little ones just learning to hike and older folks who are not so steady. The owners respond to questions in less than 30 minutes and genuinely want their cabin to be your home away from home. Definitely a cabin to visit again and again.

This property was all we could of looked for in a family retreat. Plenty of room, extremely clean,decorated comfortably and what a spectacular view. Owners provided everything you could need in this home. Private fenced in backyard for your furbabies and firepit to enjoy toasted marsmallows.. Our family enjoyed our stay so much we will be booking again next year.

Our trip was amazing. This was one of the cleanest cabins I’ve ever rented/stayed in. We were all so impressed. The kids had so much to do, we loved hiking the trails, and spent evenings curled up around the fireplace. We’ve already booked our next stay!

This deserves more than 5 stars! It is a beautiful place with a spectacular view. Master bedroom had a super comfy King bed. The hosts thought of everything. Easy drive to Asheville where we visited the Biltmore. You won’t be disappointed. We will definitely stay again.

This is a beautiful cabin that is perfectly secluded but still close to town. The pictures do not do the place justice. All owner responses were addressed within 24 hours and often much less than that. The little backyard was perfect for the pups to run around and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Will definitely be back so I can conquer the trail leading up the mountain!! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us out here!! :)

We had a wonderful and relaxing time during our 3 week stay at this lovely home. It was represented well, was very clean, comfortable and well appointed (had everything you could ever need!) and was great for our pups! The location is great as well - peaceful and remote but close to everything too. We have rented a number of different properties in the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area over the years and this is definitely one of our favorites! The owners were always accessible, and checked in to make sure all was good. We hope to come back next year! Thanks Bryan and Kristen!

The owners truly thought of every little detail to make guests comfortable. We loved everything about this cabin!! The location was private but not completely isolated and the 360 view was breathtaking. The owners thought of everything and I can’t begin to express how much this mama appreciated that! With 3 boys running circles around us, there were so many well thought out items available throughout the cabin. Just when I realized I forgot something…there it was in a cabinet.
The cabin is spacious, clean, and so incredibly comfortable. Communication was beyond perfect and everything was ready for our arrival. Clear instructions for our departure as well. Location made it easy to enjoy all that we had planned from including trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway & a day at Dollywood.

Beat the Heat
We are full time residents of Florida and wanted to get out of the heat for awhile. We spent 4 weeks here and loved every minute of it. We have travelled to many VRBO's and this was
the best overall stay we have had in over 15 years of travelling.
Woke up to temps in the high 50's or low 60's everyday. The elevation of the cabin ensures you are 8 to 10 degrees cooler than the valley.
Home is set up perfectly. We travelled with 2 dogs and the cabin is very pet friendly with the fenced yard and pet supplies.
Access to the cabin is on well maintained, paved roads and the driveway is easy to maneuver and plenty of parking.
The kitchen is well stocked and well laid out.
The furniture is all very comfy and cozy.
King sized bed was a great plus and it is very comfortable.
Plenty of games, books, TV to stay entertained.
Screened porch is fantastic for outdoor dining and watching the storms or sunset/sunrise.
The cabin is about a a 2 mile drive from Maggie Valley and about 15 minutes to Waynesville. Central to everything. Many trips were taken that involved about an hour drive from the cabin. Too many things to list here. You will not run out of things to do or places to eat.
Can't say enough good things. You will not be disappointed.

A Beautiful Cabin
This is a beautiful cabin in a pristine location. It is so relaxing to wake up to the sound of birds and waterfalls from the streams surrounding the property. The location provided easy drives to grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.
The property owners are very accommodating and maintenance is very well kept.
We highly recommend this cabin for a great getaway.
