Nestled in Lake Lure, this attractive condo for $165 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Welcome to our little slice of Heaven! Bill's Bungalow is a brand new spacious one bedroom apartment with many windows all facing beautiful Lake Lure. As you come down the steps, there is a welcoming porch with table, chairs and grill to enjoy the outdoors with views of the lake. Walk around the corner and there is another porch with relaxing chairs and a fire pit over looking the lake. Inside you will find a custom made kitchen with all of the amenities for preparing meals and beverages. The living room has a full size futon. The bathroom is spacious with a tub/shower. The bedroom has a queen size bed with a rocking chair. In another room is a full size washer and drier and closet. All rooms have beautiful lake views. This apartment is located on the bottom level of our house. It is quiet and private. We have a boathouse with a dock and upper deck. Both are open to our guests. We have 2 kayaks available for our guests which is shown in the photos. There are a number of stairs to the apartment and boathouse. We are pet friendly, but please contact us first. We love dogs and have dogs. This is their backyard so if your pets are not friendly, please leave them at home. Also, we do charge $25 a night for pets.

We had a wonderful and relaxing visit at Bill’s Bungalow. We wish we could have stayed longer. The place had everything we needed including plenty of outdoor seating to sit and enjoy the lake. We also took advantage of the kayaks that were available. There were also plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby. We did meet Frank, who was very nice, and Harvey and Beau, but, unfortunately, we did not get to meet Mara. Maybe next time.

Bill’s Bungalow was a home away from home. Mara was very welcoming. The property was exactly as the pictures show and also very well stocked. My husband and I used the kayaks everyday. I sat on the dock and watched the sunrise most morning. The bungalow is on a quite cove. Already planning a return trip back to lake lure and Bill’s Bungalow. Perfect place for a peaceful getaway.

We enjoyed our stay. The place was perfect for the 2 of us. The place was very clean and the hosts were extremely nice. We took advantage of the lake used the kayaks. Spent a lot of time on the dock and in the lake. The description of the place is accurate. Great place to relax for a few days. Close to Chimney Rock.

The Bungalow is nicely appointed for 2 occupants. The view of Lake Lure and the dam is lovely. The owners are very cordial. We greatly enjoyed our stay and hope to return. But as the owners say, there are many steps.

Couldn't ask for a better stay on Lake Lure. Mara's unit was clean, she is very cordial & accommodating, & is very quick to text you back with any questions or concerns. Unit is supplied with everything needed: linens, dishes, pots/pans, hand soap, laundry detergent, and dish soap. Would definitely recommend!

Hoping this review helps others pick this place because I chose this place based on reading all the positive reviews about it. And they weren’t lying. My girlfriend and I stayed there for three of most wonderful days/nights of our lives. The bungalow has everything you want/need. The location on the lake couldn’t be any better for serenity and positive vibes. We were lake amateurs, however, we are now lake aficionados thanks to what Mara and Frank gave us. Which was a beautiful and amazing mini vacation/getaway. Don’t pass on this gem! Hope we can get back there in the future!!!

We had a delightful stay at Bill’s Bungalow. Mara was wonderful and was readily available to answer any questions. The property itself was lovely and had everything we needed. Beautifully situated on Lake Lure, we had access to their kayaks to explore. We appreciated the very close proximity to Ingles market for easy groceries. Excellent hiking and exploring in the Chimney Rock area which was only 15 minutes away. A perfect stay! I would not only highly recommend, I would love to return.

Great spot on the lake. Quiet and relaxing. Apartment was spotless∋cely decorated and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and taking the kayaks out. Unfortunately, we had lots of rain first two days, but lots of places to sit outside and relax under covered deck. Great restaurant right up the road too. We would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I came to the lake for a couple of days and had a very relaxing and fun time. The bungalow is absolutely adorable and even though it rained a lot, there was a nice covered outdoor area where we hung out playing cards and reading. We did get a break in the rain for a short kayak and some lake swimming both of which were fantastic. Very clean and quiet. We met Mara and her pups when we first got there - all super friendly. This is great place to stay!

Bill's Bungalow was the perfect location for our first trip to celebrate retirement. The accomodations were great and the location is a quiet cove with little boat traffic. It's in the mountains so be prepared for twisty roads and lots of steps, but oh so worth it! Mara and Frank are perfect hosts. We highly recommend Bill's Bungalow.

Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are beautiful and so was our experience staying here. Close to everything, if you want to go sightseeing. But its hard to beat the views from the kayaks that are included in the rental. Owners are super nice, but you will easily forget you are all staying in the same home. We will be back!

My husband and I had a very relaxing time. We did enjoy ourselves! The apartment is just the right size. However the pictures online are a little misleading. The boathouse on the lake with dockside chairs were nothing like in the pictures. The furniture on the dock/pier was not clean or organized at all. Also there are several stairs to climb to the bungalow/apartment. So if you have back or knee pain/issues you may need to look elsewhere. This was my fault but I was not aware the bungalow was attached to the owners main house. Other than the abundance of stairs and unorganized pier/deck, and attached main house we had a nice time.

My husband and I came to Lake Lure for a weekend getaway. Bill’s Bungalow was absolutely perfect. The bungalow itself is spacious and immaculately clean. We loved having access to use the kayaks. The location of the bungalow is central to everything - restaurants, hiking, vineyards, etc. Mara (host) was excellent at communication up to and through our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved our visit! Mara and Frank were so helpful and accommodating, even parked elsewhere so we could have friends come visit! Beautiful spot and the accommodations were spacious and so quiet. Loved being able to use the canoe and kayaks to boat to the Lakehouse restaurant for beers! Highly recommend this spot!

We loved everything about Bills Bungalow!! The view was amazing. The sound of the water at the dam was super relaxing. The homeowners were wonderful with anything we needed. We enjoyed the Flowering Bridge & Chimney Rock. We had lunch at Ginny’s and dinner from Riverwatch. I recommend them both. Thank you for sharing your wonderful little slice of heaven with us! My stay was in early February so it was very quiet and exactly the getaway I needed. The bungalow had everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. Mara was so welcoming and I could tell that she would be quick to help if I had had any problems. The area is beautiful in the winter, I’m looking forward to seeing it when it’s warm and bustling.

Overall our stay was excellent. The apartment was clean and had a beautiful view. A bit more info on where to park and how to access the apartment would have been appreciated since we arrived long after dark and the neighborhood is pitch black. So if you bring your fur babies, bring a good flashlight for late night potty runs!

We booked this little place for just my husband and I, but my daughter and her family were also in another VRBO on Lake Lure. Although it is a small place, the rooms are large and we were able to BBQ with them and enjoy the outside patio table and have some real family time together. When they went back to their place we enjoyed the solitude and coziness of this place to ourselves. There are a lot of steps, so it is not for weak knees, but we enjoyed the exercise we got from going up and down to the lake. We enjoyed kayaking around the beautiful lake. The view of the dam I wish I could have flipped because the other side is gorgeous, but we really didn’t mind. The owner’s live above, but were sweet and we really didn’t notice them being there. I loved our extended weekend getaway here and would recommend to others.

Great place for a 2 person getaway. Stayed here with my wife for her birthday in October. Everything is so beautiful. Right on the lake. Peaceful and quiet. Spent time fishing and kayaking. The apartment had everything we needed. Frank and Mara were great and very responsive to anything we needed. Highly recommend this great spot on Lake Lure.

Billy's Bungalow is well appointed, clean, bright, and cheerful. Mara, Frank, and Billy were all friendly, helpful and warm. We had a wonderful time and so did our dog, Henry. I would highly recommend this property.
