About this house rental

Situated in South Thomaston, this charming house for $350 per night is a great option for your next trip. Captain's Cottage Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Find simplicity, beautiful ocean views, and a quintessential Midcoast Maine experience at the Captain's Cottage on Spruce Head Island. Located on a private road, you'll have the tranquility you desire, but still be only a short drive away from Camden and Rockland. Your days will be filled with gorgeous scenes of herons, gulls, and passing lobster boats. Enjoy a waterside deck where you can bring your morning coffee or evening glass of wine, as well as a living room with plush recliners, a TV, and the same gorgeous view. The well-equipped kitchen is more than ready for homemade meals with family and friends, offering a circular dining table with a view of the water. When it's time to wind down for the evening, the bedrooms are upstairs on the second floor, including a primary bedroom with an en suite. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Dock details: Seasonal Dock- annual installation and removal is weather permitting- late June to mid-late September. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

We loved the large deck and firepit for family dinners and relaxing evenings. Kitchen is extremely well-stocked.

Great view! Great location with McLoons Lobster Shack around the corner, and easy access to Rockland and Camden. House is a little dated but the kitchen is well equipped. Could have used a deeper clean before our 1 yr old was crawling around the floors however. View = 5, location = 5, house = 3.5

The location and view were perfect. We brought our own SUPs and walked out into the cove everyday. We had fires at night on the beach. Great for water activities. This little island is quiet and the house is rustic.

The house has a beautiful view and is well equipped for a family. The house is clean and a bit dated in the inside but the deck is to die for. Loved our stay, I would recommend more games or bring your own.
