About this house rental
Our tranquil home is nestled among rhododendron on the Mt Mitchell Golf Course (golf course currently closed due to Helene). Sit on the wide deck and listen to the rapids on the crystal clear South Toe River, gaze at the Black Mountains and, just across the golf course, the river, watch the woodpeckers, and just soak in the mild warmth of a Springtime climate that lasts all summer. We are located in a small neighborhood with WALKABLE roads and many people like to take walks on the golf cart paths.

The Master bedroom, kitchen, and living room are all on the main level, with just one step up from the driveway to the kitchen.
For rainy days, we have two living areas with great Wifi, TVs and access to various main streaming services for movies and shows. Main floor primary bedroom, with additional spacious living area and 2 bedrooms downstairs. Main living and dining furniture and downstairs couch are all new and so comfy. Two breathtaking waterfalls are within a mile or two of the property (but one is closed due to Helene); a great opportunity to play in the crystal clear water. We have enjoyed renting houses in this area before buying this house that was built in 1984, and we're so excited to offer a relaxing, high quality experience for our guests.
The indoor fireplace is not available for use as it is a complicated Buck stove; the electric heat in the house is excellent. Outdoor fire pit is available!

First of all, the Hostess is wonderful! She answered questions quickly. Her house is very clean and has everything we neededbig bedrooms, thick towels & plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed & room to cook. Looking North on the deck, we had a sunrise & sunset over the mountain views. We watched a herd of deer & turkey from the deck nightly! It was very quiet & you could hear the creek. Many fireflies at night too! There was plenty of walking about the area and an easy waterfall trail nearby. The community of Celo is tiny with a new Toe River Art Co-op just opened nearby. We explored nearby Micaville, Little Switzerland & Spruce Pine. We loved this pretty, comfortable home!

Peaceful and Delightful. The house was cozy and well stocked. Nice covered porch to enjoy the rain with lush foliage surrounding the property. The abandoned golf course is wonderful stroll and was perfect for our pup.

Really cozy unit in a great location. Well kept and kitchen was fully stocked with unusually good cookware for a Vrbo. Check-in was easy and communication with host excellent.
