We enjoyed this beautiful house, we had enough space for a group of seventeen people. We only had an issue with hot water due to a strong smell coming out of faucets, we reported to the manager and I hope the fixed it for future visitors. Out of that issue, our stay was phenomenal, very nice and peaceful environment. I recommend this property.

The open design is wonderful. Lots of space- rooms are large and comfortable. The beds slept great. Lots of privacy in in each. We had a snorer and in another room a newborn- no one heard a thing all night! The house is easy to get to and close to town- so shopping, attractions, and even food delivery is very easy. It is in a neighborhood-so not isolated, but it is quiet. The driveway is long- no traffic to worry about going by the house. The outdoor sitting and bonfire are lovely. The basketball was a surprise. The hot tub was not clean so we did not access it -note it is not hidden so is visible by all neighbors. The kitchen was large and well stocked in glasses and dishes. There was a coffee maker and a k-cup maker, a microwave oven, and two refrigerators. We did not find a crock pot, but pots and pans were available. The washer/dryer are large and easy to use. Most rooms had their own thermostats. The internet worked well and the tvs had some sort of cable access but we all had our own Roku boxes to make traveling easier for us. Linens were well stocked; as were blankets and even an extra fan and a pack n play for babies. The view of the sunset and sun rise can be seen from almost every single room. The game/movie room was fun for all ages. The only complaint was the cleaning service could have been more thorough. Communication was wonderful and responses quick- we would book again.

Spacious, private, and overall great property.
Spacious, private, and overall great property.
There was 11 of us in this beautiful home for 7 days. Information was gathered from them to compile this review. Pros: Photos on listing are accurate. The home very spacious with many opportunities for privacy. Beds were very comfortable. Decor and furnishings were nice. Great kitchen appliances with tons of refrigerator/freezer space. The outdoor area was very nice. We enjoyed watching folks fishing in the pond. Location was slightly hidden at first, but very easily accessible and not far from lots of stuff to do. I personally stayed in the master bedroom and it was phenomenal. The game room was great - we loved the pinball machine. The massive dining room table was perfect for our big family. Cons: No book with information about the home, instructions, recommendations, etc. Although, this was a relief to an extent, it does make for a nice welcome and clear expectations. The welcome bag had 2 waters and snacks for only 2 people. There was a lack of towels and washcloths, so we had to do laundry several times that week. We had a severe lack of dish towels and there were no pot holders - that was remedied mid week. There was only one sorta usable skillet, very minimal dish detergent, dish washer detergent. Basic cleaning supplies would have been nice. At the price we paid - which was A LOT, we feel like these are things that should have been provided. The ceiling in the first bedroom to the left had some damage to it, and was an eye sore (this is in the wood paneled room). The two bedrooms off the kitchen had very smelly water, but good water pressure. The other rooms water was OK, but water pressure was lacking. The tub off the game room would not hold water for a bath and was challenging to shut off. The home was mostly clean, however, all window sills in the long hall had debris. There was a lamp in the pool table room that was covered with webs to the walls and lots of spiders on it. This made a few of us pretty squeamish - nobody wanted to sit near it. There was lots of goose poop walking to and from the gazebo and in the gazebo. This cannot be prevented, but a nozzle on the water hose would have been helpful so we could have cleaned it off. With all of this being said, we did thoroughly enjoy our stay at the House of the Rising Sun. Would recommend better attention to detail for future guests - this will make all the difference in the world. It would have made a difference to us.
