Nestled in Emerald Isle, this attractive house for $344 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Come and stay at West Islandia! Beautiful half of an OCEANFRONT duplex with lots of good family space and beautiful views. Our property features private a boardwalk to the ocean, an outdoor shower, an outdoor grill, a fully functioning kitchen and our very own Crow's Nest on the top floor with sweeping views of the coast! Pet friendly, message to get pet approved! Restrictions and fees apply. More details about the house: The Swindell Family is happy to host you on the West side of our ocean front duplex. Renting this side allows access to four bedrooms (king or queen bed in each), four bathrooms all with tub/shower combos, and a top floor media room that has bonus twin beds (4 total). The top floor room, which we call the Crow’s Nest, has a large TV, movie style seating, four trundle twin beds and FANTASTIC sweeping views of the coast. There are two decks, upper and lower. If you’re looking for lots of sun, views, and some tanning potential, the upper deck is your spot! The lower deck is for the low key vacationer, it is shady and quiet. Please note: there are lots of stairs in this house, the entryway landing is on the ground floor, first set of bedrooms on the second, the kitchen and dining on the third, and lastly the Crow’s Nest is up on the fourth level. There is broadband Wi-Fi throughout the house. The kitchen is fully equipped (including Jenn-Air range, microwave, toaster, toaster-oven, coffee maker, blender, slow cooker, ice maker, a shrimp steamer, lots of specialty cookware and good kitchen knives). The inside dining tables seat ten, in addition to the four stools at the breakfast bar, and we provide an ample number of table settings in case guests drop in. There are four two-person bedrooms (two of them with king beds and two with queens — two are oceanfront, and two have nice ocean views). Each bedroom has its own full bath en suite and direct access to an oceanfront deck. The large Crow's Nest has four more single beds, and accesses one of the en suite bathrooms (one floor down) directly through a separate door, without having to go through the attached bedroom. For the whole family, there are many other services and activities within easy walking distance: Bogue Inlet Pier, the Food Lion and Publix grocery stores, the ABC store, a coffee shop, a hardware store with fishing supplies and beach equipment, restaurants, a movie theater, surf shops, and numerous specialty stores. Extensive paved bike/walk paths make exploring more distant shops, services and scenery a breeze. Other adventures await you a short drive away: boat & kayak rentals, charter fishing, historic Swansboro and Beaufort, the NC Aquarium, Core Sound Waterfowl Museum, Cedar Point Park, Hammocks Beach State Park, Fort Macon State Park, cruises to Cape Lookout and dolphin-watch cruises. And don't forget the wonderful walk along the beach to Bogue Inlet at the western end of the island. There is Absolutely No Smoking in the House! Place is just as posted. Great for family. The multi bathrooms came in handy from daily beach trips. Nice neighborhood walking distance to multiple restaurants and shops.

This was our first family vacation since my 6 month old was born. We enjoyed the convenience of being on the beach so we could go back and forth to the house with the baby. The property comfortably fit our family and we were able to share our vacation with our fur babies too (which is a must for us). We loved the view from the top deck porch and spent all mornings and evenings there. Definitely recommend this place and will more than likely book for our family in years to come.

We booked as a last minute beach getaway and were not disappointed! The location is perfect. We did not use most of the house because it was just the two of us but we loved this place and would love to come back! Keep in mind that this is beach house, not a fancy ungraded (granite counters and subway tiles) mini mansion. It might be a bit dated for some. It is more than adequate for a family and friends trip and has everything you need. The owners send out a plethora of information prior to your stay so you are well prepared with plenty of helpful tips! There are multiple decks and a wonderful view of the ocean from the main level deck. Easy beach access from the second floor deck and a comfy hammock that gives you an ocean view too! Each bedroom (except the crows nest) has its own bathroom. There was a nice family with children staying in the adjacent unit while we were there and we never heard a peep. If you have trouble with stairs, you probably want to look at a different property because stairs are unavoidable here (we looked at them as extra exercise) ;) ! Enjoy your stay!

This house was in a perfect location. It was a nice size, had a lot of bathrooms, and a good layout. But it wasn't well maintained or cleaned and the owners sent 21 pages of rules ahead of time. The rules included things like not eating Cheetos, not taking family photos on the deck, and avoiding both using the laundry and the oven to keep the house cooler. Ultimately we wouldn't recommend.
